"You're telling me that you're not trying to get with the whole Inarizaki volleyball team?"
Mei asked, her arms were crossed and she looked stern.

You started laughing.
"Are you serious?"

Mei sure did look serious.

You sighed and shook your head.
"I love how I can't have guy friends without people thinking I'm playing with their feelings. Love isn't my thing. So no, I'm not trying to get with the whole team."
you explained.

Mei was studying your face, as if she was trying to spot a lie.

"B-but you're always with them!"
She protested.

"God, can I not have guy friends?"
you snapped.

Mei was silent.
You did have a point.

"Plus if there isn't any proof against me, I don't wanna hear it."

Mei nodded.
"Sorry."
She replied quietly.

"It's fine."
you answered, not making eye contact with her.

"But Suna likes you, you know that right? I mean, that's what Yuma said."
Mei asked.

"Tch. Yuma?! Does that bitch have to tell everyone, everything?"
The thought of Yuma made you sick.

You nodded.
"I'm conflicted. According to Kita, the Miya twins and Suna like me."
You sighed as you rested your head in your arms.

"THE MIYA TWINS?!"
Mei exclaimed.

The whole class turned to look at her.
Mei awkwardly smiled and pretended to be focused on her paper.

"Yes, the Miya twins. They aren't all that special."
you rolled your eyes.

"Not that special?! They are so beautiful."
Mei gushed.

You chuckled.
"Let me guess, you like them?"

Mei shook her head.

"Of course not! I wouldn't dream of it. Like I would have a chance. And plus, they have too many fans. I would be worried that someone would be able to win their heart first."
Mei explained.
She slowly tucked a section of her hair behind her ears.

Mei was quite pretty.
She had a small face, short black hair, and thick glasses, that fit her face perfectly.
Her cheeks were naturally bright pink, and her lips were as red as a rose.

"Oh please Mei, you're so pretty."
you said as you playfully elbowed her.

Mei's cheeks got red and she looked away.
"N-nevermind, let's get to work."
She suggested as she picked up her pencil.

Suddenly an idea popped up in your head, Mei did seem pretty nice (putting the rumors aside) and she did seem to want to get to know the twins.

"Tell you what, I got a plan."
you smiled as you grabbed your phone from your backpack.

"The Kuro Neko Halloween fest is in four days. Me, the twins, Suna, Kita and Himari are going. Since it's such a small group, we wouldn't mind if another person joined us."
you replied as you pulled up the ad.

"Wanna come?"
you asked, as you held your phone up to Mei's face.

Mei looked at you, clearly confused.
"Why are you inviting me?"

"Why not?"
you smiled.

Mei pushed her glasses further up her nose, and grabbed your phone.

She took a couple seconds to scan over the ad, and then she looked back up at you.
"There's a haunted house?"
She asked, pointing to the image of an abandoned house.

You nodded.

"I guess I do like getting scared. Well, the adrenaline and stuff..." Mei mumbled. "Alright, I'll come."

"Really?!"
you exclaimed.

"Yeah..." Mei sighed. "Just don't annoy me."

"Annoy you? Pfft! The boys will be the ones to do that."
you chuckled, as Mei passed you your phone.

"The fest is a block or two away from my house, we can walk together if you want."
you suggested.

"Sounds good. Just make sure I don't end up regretting this."
Mei replied, though her tone sounded annoyed, you could still see the excitement in her eyes.

"This is gonna be great."
