the owl and the moon

at midnight's skies i am waken up,

by the memories of our broken love.
i went outside with my broken cup,
and walked a forest like an aching dove.

i long for you and your sparkling eyes,
i long for the warmth that you gave me twice.
you said, "I'll be there when you need me most."
"Just look for me in the silver coast."

now i am here in a forest damp,
with a broken cup as a candle lamp.
looking for you under silver light,
on the forest coast with a bounded sight.

but i promised; "whenever i need you,
I'll look for you till the skies are blue.
like how an owl soar the gloomy night
in hunt of the moon and its silver light."

for i am the owl without a doubt,
and you are the moon above the cloud.
your light is my guide to lead me home,
back to your arms from a long cold roam.
