Baka this year naman 'yong UD ng The Unmarrieds kaya kalma lang kayo riyan hahahahaha! Char lang! Nasa drafts ko 'to mga ilang dekada (char) na ang nakalipas at ngayon ko lang siya na-edit. 😉

12 April 2020, afternoon

It was a hot afternoon at the Office of the Vice President, but everyone did not mind the heat as they were busy packing relief goods and PPE kits for the frontliners.

"Bishop, pakiabot nga ng isang 10kgs sack ng rice," Raffy asked his colleague without even looking at him.

"Oh..."

Raffy was shocked upon seeing his boss, the Vice President herself, carrying the sack of rice. He immediately stood up to get it from her. "Ma'am, ba't kayo pa po ang nagbuhat? Mas malapit po si Bishop..."

She laughed softly. "Puno ang mga kamay niya eh. Sakto naman kakatapos ko lang sa mga nile-labelan ko..."

He just scratched his head. "Nakakahiya naman po, Ma'am..."

She clicked her tongue. "Sus! Lahat tayo tulong-tulong ngayon... Wala munang boss-boss..."

He smiled. "Kaya po sobrang deserve niyo lahat ng papuri ng mga tao ngayon sa soc med eh."

She smiled too. "Hindi ko naman magagawa 'yon kung hindi dahil sa inyo kaya salamat sa inyong lahat!" She faced the others too and slightly bowed her head as a sign of her appreciation and gratitude.

"Sayang nga lang po at hanggang sa isang araw na lang ang donation drive natin... Marami pa pong gustong tumulong kaso hindi na aabot 'yong date ng sweldo po nila sa pagsasara natin..." He expressed.

She turned a little bit serious. "Oo nga eh... Kung sana mas mapahaba pa natin... Ayaw kasi tayong payagan eh..." She bowed down again and silence followed.

It was broken when Aika arrived and greeted everyone. She also brought food and invited everybody to have their snacks.

Leni and Raffy proceeded to the lounge area to take a break and eat the Ube Cheese Pandesal which Aika brought for them.

"Celebration ba natin ito?" Leni started as she took a bite of the pandesal. She finished chewing it first before speaking again. "Maraming salamat sa lahat na tulong niyo."

Her staff bowed down and no one uttered a single word. They were all quiet and a little bit sad because the office's donation drive was supposed to end in two days.

"Sayang lang, Ma'am... Mas marami pa po sana tayong malilikom at matutulungan kung madagdagan pa po ang araw ng donation drive natin."

She smiled, a half smile. "Gawan ko ng paraan... Ginagawan ko ng paraan."

Bishop butted in. "Masarap sanang mag-group hug ngayon, Ma'am kaso may COVID eh."

The OVP squad laughed and continued eating.
