I'M DEAD INSIDE

Wait a minute...

Even though Chat was all alone for months, akumatized, and driven to insanity, he was still himself deep down when Ladybug was dragged to the alternate future to fight him.

At first Chat Blanc didn't want to fight Ladybug, and even asked her as nicely for her Miraculous as he could, and when she first tried to get it over with without fighting, Chat whispered, "Save me." That clearly means he was still Chat Noir inside, very, very deep down.

While they were fighting, something about Chat seemed a bit... off. He did seem to have become just like his father, obsessive over the Miraculous, but during those moments, Chat was submissive to the akuma and the fact that he was alone for months. Once Ladybug summoned her Lucky Charm, he was more gentle than very recently in the battle.

Once Ladybug gets back out of the water and asks Chat what he did to the future versions of her and Hawk Moth, he says he didn't mean to. This is clearly seen when we watch when Chat got akumatized. He was torn between his mother and the girl he loves, and that's what caused him to break. Chat gave in to being akumatized, and when Hawk Moth is using his son as a tool to get Ladybug's Miraculous  and Ladybug is trying to help Chat out, Chat tries to just take the hit himself, and, without realizing it, he destroyed all of Paris and the moon. Chat survived, but that made him to be entirely alone. It wasn't Chat's fault he destroyed almost everything.

And last but most certainly not least, when Ladybug finally frees the akuma. She tricks Chat into thinking she's going to kiss him, and he seems kind of shocked, because first of all, he clearly wasn't prepared for that, and second of all, the look on his face clearly says he's replaying everything that happened in his head and realizing what just happened, and third of all, he seems completely at a loss for the fact that he almost destroyed everything. Also, when she takes his bell and he realizes it was all a trick so that she could try once again to free his akuma, he doesn't resist that time. It's as if he was waiting for her to break his bell and free the akuma.

Now, I'd just like to be alone for a bit so I can replay the entire episode in my head :'(
