07 IMESSAGE&NARRATIVE

Start from the beginning

"How long have you been here?"
Charli asks, trying to make
conversation. Neither of us really
knowing how to act. Charli seems
so pure so I really don't know how
to act or be girlfriendy around her.

"I've been here since before it
started." I chuckle as I start to
dance a little so it looks like
I'm having fun. Charli follows
my lead, which helps me feel
a little more comfortable.

After a while of dancing, talking,
and trying some of the alcohol.
Charli says, "I'm going to look
for Dixie and see if she can take
us back to your place or I'll just
call us an Uber or some.

We both decided to ditch the
party and hangout at my
house, alone. Which quiet
frankly is a new place for us.
I don't think we've ever had
real time alone.

I wait for Charli as she looks for
Dixie, and this group of kind of
attractive guys come up to. I don't
know what they want but, I'm loyal
so they better not fuck with that shit.

"You and your little best friend are
cute." The tall one says assuming
we are just best friends.

"Thanks I guess, I don't know if
you're trying to hit on us but we
are both taken buddy." I state as
nicely as possible while not being
in the mood for some jack ass dude
trying to put me in bed.

"Where are your boyfriends then?
I haven't seen y'all with any guys."
He continues, still assuming stuff
about us. Does this dude think our
imaginary boyfriends need to be
with us 24/7 or that I'll cheat just
because they aren't here right now.

"Okay and? What do you and your
little buddies want?" I question
with attitude, getting agitated at
the fact dude can't take a hint.

"A guy can't just come say hi to
a girl?" He asks, trying to play
the victim card but his demeanor
doesn't help prove that case.

"And you've said hi, now good
night." I reply as I start to walk
away but he stops me. His
buddies had disappeared not
to long ago, probably bored.

"Im just trying to make friends,
I don't see a problem. I literally
complimented you." He states,
his voice becoming strained
because he's annoyed.

"Yeah doesn't seem like it if
you're forcing it upon me and
making me uncomfortable." I
exasperate trying to find a way
out of this situation.

"Oh so I'm making you
uncomfortable?" He smirks,
stroking my check and
invading more of my personal
space. I think I threw up a little
in my mouth from that.

I didn't know what to do or how
to react because he has a good
grip on me. I look on either side
of me and see Dixie looking like
she is about to beat my ass.

"So now you're mute? You're a
very interesting girl." The male
says, which pissed me off
because he knows exactly what
he's doing. I never understood
why guys were so desperate
they had to do shit like this.

"Just let go of me." I whimper
trying to wiggle out of his grip.
Like why me? Out of all the
people here, I'm not even
dressed revealing I'm literally
in jeans and a normal plain
ass shirt.

"Hey man, get away from her."
I hear Vincent state to the guy
harassing me. Who loosens his
grip by accident when Vincent
surprised him.

I rush out of his grip and over to
Vincent. Feeling a little scared
and embarrassed.

"What are you going to do about
it? You her boyfriend or some?"
Dude questions like he'd back
off if Vince were my boyfriend.

"Nah she my best friend though,
and all beat your ass." Vincent
states even though he's smaller
and probably wouldn't win.
People continuing to glance at the
drama, taking interest.

"I don't want no fights." Guy says
throwing his hands up in defeat.
And this is why I don't go to
parties. Now I have to fix things
with Charli because I'm pretty
sure she saw and thought I
was being an unloyal hoe.

SAHARS NOTES
