Behind The Scenes (Nagikae)

Chapter 1: Introduction: Nagisa

As for Nagisa He neither has someone to ask out nor to go home to, he left his home after high school and decided to go to states to pursue his dream

It's been years since he saw his parents, though they talk from time to time but he hasn't visited them after he arrived in Japan months ago, not that he had grudge against his parents but he was busy being a teacher and all that

The ring bells and Nagisa woke up from his thoughts and his students one by one passed his table to say goodbye as he smiled at them and reminded them of their homework

After the last student said goodbye, he checked the classroom if someone left something or some trash is laying around, he knows that his students probably cleaned their designated areas upon leaving but its just Nagisa being Nagisa

He checked the room and noticed some magazine laying around just its tip poking out from under the locker,

He kneeled down and pick it up,

"Haruna Mase, Love Triangle movie coming up!"

Nagisa looked at the magazine but noticed that the picture has been cut out so he just put on the nearest table, 'maybe some student forgot it on the way home' he thought and turned off the lights and head out

On the way home he decided to head to his parents and bought a cake, this neighborhood brings a lot of memories' Nagisa thought as he looked around, the playground nearby to the streets and even the neighborhood he used to play around

*Ring* *Ring*

The door opened revealing his mom, it's been years and his mom looks the same as always but with little wrinkles and a bit of white hair

Her eyes looked shocked upon looking at his son whom he took for granted, with teary eyes his mother hugged him like never before apologizing over and over again from all that she had done to him, and called his dad

His dad looked as same as before with his head looked down and Nagisa noticed the tears falling down, Nagisa put down the cake and walk over to his dad and hugged him, forgiving them of their mistakes

After an hour they all seem to calm down and asked him a lot of questions of how he must've been and has been eating all right while living alone, all of which he answered with ease

If nothing else, he always been independent, looking ways on how to make himself alive in the midst of the strange world he lived, there he studied their language and thankful for bitch-sensei for teaching them english atleast though some of them are really useful

He looked on his mom as she held his hand resting at the table

"Have you met someone yet? How are you with Kayano- chan?" His mom asked with mischievous eyes, Nagisa choked from his tea blushing a little and looked a little beside, avoiding his mother's prying eyes

"uhh we never got in contact since high school graduation though" he said a little sad, ever since the graduation, he looked everywhere for her but doesn't find her, at that time he asked karma and everyone at least as to where kayano may be but no one else noticed

He even never got the chance to say goodbye

Little did Nagisa know that his mom and dad noticed the sadness in Nagisa's eyes, the longing he has for Kayano.

Nagisa left the house he grew up after he spent the whole afternoon catching up with them but his parents has something up in their sleeves,

They're aware of their son dense personality, even they sense that even though Nagisa is oblivious of his own feelings towards kayano, it is shown in his eyes that whenever he's with kayano his eyes sparkle with joy

His eyes even though they seemed stoic, something emerges in those eyes whenever he's with kayano, neither of them noticed it but in people's eyes they knew there has to be a connection

After graduation though Nagisa suddenly got the scholarship in states and they never seen Kayano ever since then

But all this time, every year, Karma and Okuda (they're engage btw) never ceased to miss to go call them, checking if Nagisa ever been there or if they have any news from him

They always say that hes doing fine back in the states but never really say his exact location for Nagisa never really tell them where he is and that he always use payphone whenever they call them

But at this time, they decided to call Karma letting him know that Nagisa is back in Japan and that he lives near **** station

With hopeful eyes, they wish that this is the way to their son's happiness and it's up for Nagisa to look for his beloved.
