Angels and Demons have long since been engaged in a war that has stretched for over thousands of years.

Only problem is ... you never know which is which. They had faces, names, and lives before they became a part of the millennia-old war between good vs. evil. They once lived like us, they once resided on the same land we walk on— they were humans. Just like you and me.

Park Chaeyoung, to put it frankly, has been dead for four years, and she's spent half of those years training as a young guardian, but even the afterlife can be challenging. After an accident that affected her first mission and cost her her status and credibility, she's determined to prove herself to everyone else and become the Guardian she's always dreamt of being. A few months later, she's once again thrust into the world of the living to protect another mortal ... Jeon Jungkook, a 23 year-old coffee shop owner who's got issues of his own.
But as bad as those issues sound, Chaeyoung truly believes and trusts that she can help save him and direct him towards a much brighter path, but problems soon arise as she discovers a secret that threatens to destroy her, the life she's had, and everything she's experienced in the afterlife. And perhaps even the afterlife itself.
Meanwhile, a sudden turn of events soon endanger Jeon Jungkook as he finds himself tangled in between the longest war in history. With him as the final pawn.
