Kion sighed then gave a yawn. "Better go home. Im getting tired." "Heya, Kion." Janja said. What not even the Outlanders knew is that the skinks were there. So if the Guard came and kicked their tails, they couldnt lie and say they couldnt find him. "Just go back to the Outlands Janja." "Thinkin' about your Dad, are ya?" "Kion looked down and walked away. He was then confronted by the jackals. "Remember all the times he was there to comfort ya? Well he's not now!" "Remember the times he played with you?" Kiburi asked when he turned the other way. "This is a plan to see how long it takes me to get upset! Whatever I do, I musn't break. They'll use it to their advantage." "Think of all he's done for you. And you couldnt keep him safe like he has done to you. Some son you are. No, no, some leader of the Lion Guard you are." Janja said. The skinks looked at each other in surprise. "Im impressed that he came up with that. Scar will be too." "Is it a fight you want?" Kion asked. "No." Kiburi said. "Oh so you find enjoyment in making animals cry(?) Well, thats to be expected. Hence why you're the bad guys." Kion said. "Leave Kion alone, Janja!" Jasiri shouted. "Oh, yeah? Make me, Jasiri!" "Fine then, clan! Attack!" They tackled the jackals and crocs. Jasiri helped Kion with the hyenas. "It was going so well, then she just HAD to show up." Shupavu said.

After they ran off, Kion said, "Thanks, Jasiri." "Of course, Kion. We'll do anything to help." Kion took a deep sad sigh. "You really miss him, dont you? Wema asked. "Wema? Tunu? What are you doing here?" Shina brought us here." Tunu said. "Shina!" Jasiri said. Kion bent down to the little cubs. "Yeah, I really do miss him." "Jasiri we have to help him!" Wema said nuzzling Kions leg to try and help him feel better. "Its ok, I'll be fine." "Kion. I hate to say this but, to be honest I dont think you will." Madoa said. "Madoa, obviously its going to take him a lot of time to get past this." Jasiri said. "Yeah, but you saw him while ago." "Wait. You guys were spying on me?" "Me and Madoa were coming to see you. When we saw that you broke in to song." Jasiri said. "A rather sad one." Madoa stated. "Yeah." Kion said his ears flat. "Kion. If you want to talk, we're here. You can always talk to us. And we'll help you, anyway we can." Jasiri said to him. "Thanks everyone, I really appreiciate it." "Of course, Kion!" Tunu said. "And I'll always give you a hug! If you need it." "Thanks Wema and Tunu." "Well, I guess we should leave you go home and sleep." Jasiri said. "Ok. Night everyone." All: "Night, Kion." Kion ran in the direction of Pride Rock.

When Nala saw Kion she hugged him as she said, "There you are! You had us worried sick! Zazu couldnt find you anywhere. We were beginning to think you were kidnapped by the Outlanders." "I, Im sorry, Mom. I just....needed more time than usual tonight." "Its alright. Just as long as your not hurt." "Im not." "Good. Come on, lets get some rest." While Nala was waiting for Kion, a lioness was looking after Kiara. When they went in, Kiara was asleep at the lioness's side. Her name is Star, when she was born it was a star filled sky. So her mother named her Star. "Star? How is she?" "She's asleep, Your Majesty." Star got up as Kion walked over. He laid next to his sister and put his chin on her paw. "Poor cubs. So young to be without their father." Star whispered to Nala. Nala sighed. "I dont know what to do. Kion said he doesnt want to lead the Guard anymore. He says they're killing each other. If Simba was here, he'd know how to help." Star put her paw on Nala's in comforting. "He just needs time. And I'll make sure he stays here in the morning, so you can get the rest you need. You havent had a good night's sleep since Simba passed." "To be fair Star, has any of us?" "Good point, but you're the Queen. And a Queen needs a good night's sleep." "Hm, thanks, Star." "Of course! Now, get to sleep." Nala gave a light giggle. She laid next to the cubs, and put her head down.

After Nala fell asleep, Star heard a whimper. "Huh?" She wondered looking over at what was left of the Royal Family. It was Kion. Without hesitation, Star got up. She walked over and presssed her cheek against Kions and whispered. "Its ok, its ok." Kion was mumbling words. "Shhhhh." She soothed. Kions scrunched up face relaxed and and a small smile replaced his frown. Star smiled. She slept a bit away from them, so that if one of them was to have a nightmare she would be there to comfort them and let Nala rest. After all, she was awake most nights now that Simba was gone. And she needed a good night's sleep.
