"K-Kiara? Are you awake?" Kion whispered. "Yeah. I cant sleep. Not without Daddy." "Same. W-what are we gonna do?" Kion asked. "I, I dont know." Kion slipped out of Nala's paw and walked over to Kiara and nuzzled her. "M-maybe if we sleep together we might feel better." Kion suggested. Kiara nodded and lifted her paw for Kion to lie under. "Kion smiled and layed next to her. "Love you, little bro." "Love you, too." Kion said giving her a nuzzle. And they soon fell asleep.

Kion looked to the spot where Simba used sleep and then his ghost appeared there. He looked at Kiara who was asleep cuddling him. "Dad?" He whispered. Simba's spirit nuzzled Kion gently and said, "You need to move on, son. Its not like Im not watching over you. I'll always be here, in you." By this time tears were streaming down Kions cheeks. "How can I move on? Its my fault you're gone." Kion said his voice broken. "No. No, its not your fault. Its Scar's." "But....I let him kill you, Dad. Its my job to ptotect the Pride Lands. And my family, and I couldnt do it." Simba's spirit put his paw around Kion and hugged him. "Just move on. Ok?" "I, I cant." Kion said hugging him hard. "Look at me." Kion looked at him. "You can. And you will move on. Promise me you will." Simba said softly. "You'll talk to me everyday, right?" Simba nodded. "And give me a hug when I need it?" Simba nodded again. "But. Only if you promise you'll move on, and stop blaming and beating yourself up that you could've saved me. You tried your best, and thats all I ever ask you to do. Now, do you promise?" "Yes, Daddy. I promise. Do you promise?" "Of course I do. Now rest, you'll need it." Kion tried to stop his tears but he couldnt.  Just as Simba was about to leave, Kion said, "Wait!" "Sleep, son." "Please dont go!" Kion said with tears. "Dad." "Sleep. Please." Simba said trying to stop tears of his own. "Dad, please." "No, Kion. I cant." Simba said tears streaming down his cheeks. "Dad!" Kion said desperately and his voice full of sadness. "Please." Simba ran over and hugged him. "I dont want to leave either." "Then dont! Please!" "I have no choice. I have to. I love you." Simba said hugging Kion hard. "I love you too!" "I need you to rest for me, ok?" "I-I'll try, Dad." "Ok. Goodnight, son. I love you." Simba said giving him one last nuzzle. "Night Dad. Love you, too." Kion said crying his voice full of sorrow. As Simba was disappearing he gave Kion a comforting smile. Kion put his head down and tiredness swept over him.

Kions head shot up. "I will move on, Dad. I promise." Kion said with tears. A second later Kiara woke and hugged Kion with tears running down her cheeks. "Did Dad tell you to move on, too?" Kiara nodded. "I dont think I can." Kiara said her voice breaking. "W-We have to Kiara! Dad needs us to!" Kion said through tears "I know but, I miss him!" "We all do. But we need to do this. For Dad. Ok?" "Ok." Kiara said hugging Kion. "Im gonna get a drink." Kion said. "I will too." Kiara said.

"Everything ok?" Mufasa asked. "No." Simba sighed looking down at his family. Mufasa nuzzled him. "They'll be alright." He reassured. "No. They wont be. You saw Kion today. And Nala and Kiara. Ive never seen them so emotionally broken. I mean Kion doesnt even want to be out with his friends. Thats not like him." Simba sighed. "He's just grieving." Mufasa said. "I dont know, Dad. He's lost his spirit." "He'll get it back. Just like you did." "He's the one who brought Scar back while saving his sister, so he thinks its his fault. I told him its not. But he'll live with guilt for the rest of his life. If only there was a way I could make it stop." Simba said sighing. Mufasa put his paw around him and hugged him. "They'll get through it son." Mufasa said. Simba sighed once again and looked at them. Kiara and Kion clinging were together for dear life. As if they would die if they let each other go. Suddenly Sumu walked in. "Sh*t! I have to get back there now!" "Language." Mufasa said giving him a look. "Scar is trying to kill my cubs too!" Simba reasoned. "Alright I'll let you off so. Go!"

"Kion! Kiara!" "Dad!" They said. "You need to wake up! Now!" "What?" Both cubs questioned. "Your lives depend on it! Now!" Both cubs shot awake. "Kion! On your tail!" Kiara exclaimed. Kion screamed and swept the scorpion off. "Get out! Now!" The scorpion smiled evily and said, "You may want to check on your Mom, cubs." Both Kiara and Kions eyes widened. "Mom?!" Kion said nudging her. "Mom, no!" Kiara exclaimed crying. "We cant lose you too!" Kion exclaimed crying. "Zazu!" Kion called. "Kion? Whats wrong?" "Get Rafiki! Now!" Zazu tilted his head in confusion. "Dont you get it?! Mom's been stung too!" Kiara snapped at Zazu. "Shii....I'll get him now!

"Hang on, Mom. You're gonna be ok." "You couldnt even save Dad, Kion! "You cant save Mom!" "Its not my fault! Dad said so!" "He's only trying to make you feel better! f course its your fault! We were all counting on you!" Kion backed away from her and ran out of Pride Rock. "Kion!" She called angrily. Kion ran down Pride Rock and cried hard. 3 minutes later Rafiki arrived and placed his hand on the crying cub's shoulder. "I still have the ash. She'll be alright." Rafiki said. "Its not just that, Rafiki. Kiara says that Dad only told me its not my fault to make me feel better. Do you think its true?" "Tell you what, you come to my tree tomorrow and we'll talk. Alright?" "Thanks Rafiki." Kion said hugging him. Rafiki was a bit surprised. But he hugged the cub as well. "Alright. We better help her." Rafiki said letting go of the heartbroken cub. Kion followed Rafiki up to the den and Kiara ran towards him. "Im so sorry Kion. I, I shouldnt have snapped like that. She said giving him a nuzzle. "Can you help her, Rafiki?" Kiara asked. "Yes. I kept the ash. She'll be ok by morning. But she'll be a bit weak." Rafiki said. "Thanks, Rafiki." Kiara said. "There we go. Goodnight you two. I'll see you tomorrow." Rafiki said.
