He stopped walking for a while. I saw his eyes scanned the place. For a split second, I think our eyes met. It was really really quick though. He was fast to look away. And so he continued walking.

I watched his every movement in awe. I was seated near that area so I immediately heard what the man said.

"Sir, may problema po tayo.

I was just watching as Zaid's expression gradually became rigid. "Akala ko ba ngayon daw?"

The guy he was talking too looks so guilty and problematic.

Zaid checked his watch. I heard him muttered a silent curse. He sighed. "I'll just try to book for a ride," he calmly said.

Napakurap-kurap ako nang may maisip.

I impulsively stood up on my chair. "Wag na,"

I saw their heads turn on me.

"Pwede kitang.. ihatid doon," suhestiyon ko.

Nakita ko ang munting pagsinghap ni Zaid. He turned to the guy and instructed him about something. The guy nodded and went outside.

He momentarily turned his gaze on me.

"Thank you for the offer but you don't have to," he smoothly said.

I was about to open my mouth when he already turned to his phone.

I closed my mouth and mentally shook my head.

I patiently and confidently waited on my seat.

As expected it took just a while before I heard his frustrated grunts.

"Why the heck do they keep on cancelling..." he whispered to himself.

"Mag pahatid ka na kasi sakin. Bakit ba ayaw mo?" I shamelessly asked.

He didn't shot me a look. But his forehead creased more while staring on his phone.

I arched my brow.

"Tara na kasi. A little lowering of pride won't hurt you," I remarked.
