9. The Game

And once again, Earth slips beneath Vidya's feet. She looks at him and immediately pulls away. Her reaction once again shocks Gunny.

"I'm sorry Major Randhawa but I should leave now"

"Friends call me Gunny"

Gunny corrects her

"Hum abhi friends nahi banne hain"

Saying so, she leaves but not before taking her phone from Gunny.

Smirking, folding his arms over his chest, Gunny mumbles,

"Lekin bohut jald bann jayenge"

He constantly thinks about the name 'Vanch'. Deeply thinking, he again mumbles,

"You're like a puzzle Vidya and I love solving puzzles"

An Hour later

Rajveer impatiently waits for Naina and right on time, she walks in, in the same red saree.

"Great, I love people who are on time!"

He smirks and walks towards her.

"Kyun bulaya aapne mujhe yahan?"

Asks Naina, folding her arms over her chest.

He smirks again,

"And I also love people who straight up come to the point"

This causes Naina's cheeks to turn into a peachy color. Can he stop confessing already? thinks Naina.

"So..."

He comes close to her and circles around her. Finally coming to a halt around her right ear from the back, he says,

"Let's play a game, Captain"

"What game?"

Asks Naina with a thumping heartbeat.

"Our favourite game! The concentration game!"

Huh that's easy, she thinks

"Alright!"

She replies smirking.

Coming in front of her, he says,

"Uh uh..not to easy. There is a catch Captain"

Naina narrows her eyes on him.

"And what's the catch?"

Rajveer lets out a devilish laugh.

"Whoever loses has to answer three questions of the other person, truthfully."

Naina cheeks starts heating up.

"No way. I'm not playing this game"

Saying so, she turns to leaves when she feels a sudden pull and finds her wrist being gripped.

"Darr gyi?"

He smirks

Damn this man very well knows how to get her to do what he wants.

When it comes to showing her capabilities, she won't step back.

"Mein kisi se nahi darti"

Turning back to him, she says confidently

"Amazing then, let's begin"

Smiling, Rajveer takes a step back and soon, they start staring in each other's eyes.

"Mein nahi harunga!"

He says smirking

She gives him a hard competition by saying,

"Lekin mein zarur jeetungi"

He arches a brow at her with a smirk.

This girl is fire, he thinks

Understanding the meaning behind that arch, she immediately says,

"Pichli baar mein har gyi thi but is baar I will win...I've enough practice. So..I will win!"

"Not from me cad...captain. I'm you mentor, remember?"

He smirks giving her a hard stare.

The game continues and they get lost in each other's eyes, giving each other a hard competition. And finally, Naina blinks her eyes.

"Yes!"

Exclaims Rajveer joyfully!

"You lost!"

He says flirtatiously snugging in closer to her. Her cheeks turns red and she looks everywhere else but him.

"So, Captain Naina Ah Singh..."

he whispers with a smirk.

"Ready for the questions?"

Her heartbeat picks up pace. Unable to bear this sweet torture any longer, she turns to leave but he is much quicker than she thinks. Calculating her move already, he pushes her towards the nearest wall, hovering her from both sides.

Staring her intensely, he traces her arm slowly with his finger. She shuts her eyes and stays glued to her spot. Their proximity doesn't let her move.

"Here comes your first question"

He whispers

Her heartbeat picks up pace as the time passes by.

Moving his lips near her ear, closing his eyes slightly, he asks,

"Tell me Captain Naina Ah Singh, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest, how much do you love me?"
