(Max's POV)
"Wake up! Wake UP!!!" Peyton screeched in my ear, and I sat up frustrated.
"What do you want?" I growled. Sisters.
"Uh, duh! It's your selection day, doofus! You needs make yourself pretty for the ladies!"
"Ugh, 5 more minutes?" I flopped back down and put my pillow over my head, but she ripped it away from me and smacked me with it. "Owww..."
"It's a pillow you idiot!" She skipped into a beanbag chair in the corner of our room.
"How did you even get in here, might I ask?" I sighed, getting up.
"Jakey let me in! He's already awake. He seems more excited than you are. Why aren't you excited? Is something wrong? Are you worried?" Sisters and all their annoying questions.
"No, I'm fine. I just need to get freshened up. Why don't you go play with Adelaide?" She's 7, and Peyton is 9.
"Adelaide's boring! I wanna stay here with you and help you get ready!" She stood up and hugged me tightly. It would have been adorable if I wasn't so stressed out at the moment.
"Peyton, I have to shower and get dressed! Now unless you want to see me naked I suggest that you leave my room right now."
She made a disgusted face and let go of me, spinning around and out the door. 'Finally!' I thought. 'I can get ready in peace.'

(Maxon's POV)

I watched from my window as the young ladies entered the castle. I suddenly began to see how my father must've felt in this situation. Even though I didn't know these girls yet, I couldn't imagine how any of them could possibly be good enough for our sons. America, standing next to me, read my mind.
"Maxon, I know how you feel. Worried that none of these girls will treat our sons right. Trust me, some of the girls won't be right for them, but that is the process. Some girls want the throne, others want a husband. No matter what they strive for, they will make some form of connection with our princes. Let's make this a fun experience where we get to see what the boys like."
"You're right, love. The boys should be plenty ready to make good decisions. I just hope that they are able to see through those that are deceitful."
"We'll I suppose that we're about to find out." She said excitedly, and we got ready to greet them.
