Kageyama POV
The nerves really started to kick in when I was walking up to his house.

It was after school, and it took awhile to walk here, after all it's uphill and I don't know how to ride a bike.

His however, was parked outside the house, next to a small white car and a little girl sitting at the doorstep.

"Natsu?" I asked.
She looked up at me, and when she saw who I was, she smiled brightly.

"What are you doing here?" she said with a grin.

I knelt down next to her.

"I'm here to see your brother" I say "What are you doing out here?"

She pouted at me.

"Mum says I can't come inside when Shou's awake. She says I'll get sick"

"Sick? Is he sick?"

She nods.

"Do you think I can go in?"

She thinks about it for a moment.

"Will Shou feel better?"

I smile at her sadly.

"Maybe..."

She smiles back and gives me a thumbs up. I give her a high five and walk up the porch steps.

I open the door and out of courtesy say, "Sorry for the intrusion"

His mum peers in from the room opposite Hinatas bedroom and smiles at me.

"Hi!" she says with a grin.

Of course my guards up but I say, "Hi..." back.

"Are you here to see Shouyo?"

"Yeah I am"

"He's sleeping right now but you can come inside"

She takes me inside his room.

When I see him, he's laying on a floor bed, breathing hard and red.

His mum sighs and goes to touch his forehead.

"His fever hasn't gone down in two days" she pouts. "Can you change his cloth in a couple of minutes, I'm going out to buy some medicine"

"S...sure" I stutter, still processing how weak Hinata looks.

She leaves the room.
I smile at him.
Even though it looks uneasy, watching him sleep is kind of adorable.

He is woken however when I sit down next to him, probably from the movement of the light sheet.

He slowly opens his eyes.
They're red and swollen.
Groggily, he turns and faces me.

For a moment I'm taken a back. I've never seen the small spiker look so tired.
So weak.

For a moment I think he's going to pass out, but instead he gives me a big smile.

I smile back at him mouthing, 'Thanks for telling me, dumbass'

He playfully pouts at me and slowly signs, 'What? we're you worried?'

I blush a little and look away, and I can almost feel his smug smile.

I sigh and turn back to him, just then realising why I came here in the first place.

I go to say something, but he shakes his head before I can.

'It's ok' he mouths. 'We're ok'

I smile at him, and almost feel myself start to tear up. I stop myself from crying however, looking at him smile was enough to do that.

Instead he apologises for avoiding me, and tells why too.
I end up getting really panicked, telling him that it's ok.
He seemed amused by it.

'I wanna leave'

He signs to me.

"Leave?" I ask. "What do you mean?"

He goes to say something, but ultimately stops himself and looks straight ahead, before smiling sadly.

'I can't just lay here, I'm bored' he signs.

He wanted to say more. Much more. But he ended up closing his eyes and falling asleep.

I crouch down next to him and boop his nose, thinking to myself, 'He's pretty adorable when he's sleeping'

Without thinking, I take the cloth off his forward and kiss it.
It's warm from the fever, but it's also soft and cute.

"G'night dumbass" I say to him, before changing the cloth and walking out the door.

Natsu is still outside.

"He's asleep" I say to her.

"Mum didn't go to the shops" she says bluntly.

"S..She didn't?" I ask. "How do you know?"

"The shops are that way" she says, pointing in one direction. "She went that way" she continues, pointing in the complete opposite way.

I hold my breath a little, before telling her, "If she doesn't come by tomorrow, use Hina- uhh Shou's phone to call me, kay'?

She pouts and nods at me, hugging me and going inside.

And here I though she was genuinely taking care of her child. I grit my teeth.

"That bitch" I subconsciously mumble.
