Episode 21: The Mysterious Guy on the Dance Floor

We released the hug and the three of us smiled at each other. Nabaling ang aking paningin sa dance floor. I spotted a brawny-looking man prancing and giving his all on the dance floor. Biglang parang bumagal ang oras. Biglang may spotlight na nagliwanag sa kaniyang kinaroroonan. Naka-focus lang ang aking mga mata sa direksyon niya. Epekto ba ito ng alak na aking kinonsumo. O totoo itong masarap na lalaking aking nakikita?

"Mga beh, wait lang, ha," sambit ko sa aking mga pinsan. I removed my sling bag and placed it on our table.

"At saan ka naman pupunta?" tugon ni Dio.

Hindi na ako sumagot pa at nag-umpisa na akong lumakad papalit sa lalaking pumukaw sa aking diwa. Noong ako'y nasa dance floor na, tumalikod ako sa kaniya at ikinendang ang aking balakang pakaliwa't kanan. Napansin niya ako at napatitig habang patuloy pa rin ang kaniyang pag-indak.

"Nice moves!" he said, sabay hinawakan niya ang aking baywang. He continued swaying me until he started caressing my back. I turned to him and there I witnessed how angelic he looked. He got squinty almond-shaped eyes, a pointy nose, and those irresistibly kissable lips.

"Hey, what's your name?" I asked.

"I don't just give my name to strangers. But you can call me handsome." He smirked.

"Stop being mysterious." I giggled coyly. "Okay, handsome. I'll call you hermoso then, that's handsome in Spanish. Mi hermoso."

"Yeah, I know. And I like that. Pues, tu eres mi hermosa." He winked and we continued dancing.

This guy was super handsome, cute to the nth level, and he knew a little bit of Spanish. I was impressed. Maybe this was my resurrection, a little gift from heaven from all the pain I was put through. He was an angel.

He pushed me against the wall of my bedroom. And he kissed me passionately from my neck to chest while he slowly doffed my clothes. I could feel his warm breath. He went up and our lips met. We shared sweltering kisses until he finally pushed my bare body on the bed. Nag-umpisa na siyang maghubad ng kaniyang t-shirt at pantalon. Kahit madalim sa loob ng kuwarto, may sinag naman ng ilaw galing sa sala kaya't nasilayan ko pa rin ang maputi niyang katawan na may mga porma ng pandesal sa tiyan. Napakaganda ng kaniyang katawan. Slender yet muscular. He pressed his body against my naked body, he started thrusting my opening faster and faster . . . until we both reached the heavens above.

It was midnight now. Our intercourse was short but divine. I couldn't even remember the last time I had this great of a lovemaking when I was still with Albert. But though it was a delightful experience, I couldn't have him for long.

"It was a wonderful night, beautiful," he muttered as he was donning his clothes. "I had a great time, mi hermosa."

"Me, too, mi hermoso." I smiled weakly.

Then, we shared one final kiss.

I thought I'd end up with him, but he wasn't a match. It was heartbreaking . . . again.

When morning struck, I got up and drank some water. I noticed my sling bag on the couch and grabbed it. As I searched for my phone, I found a pillbox with two caplets in it. I checked my phone and found messages from both Dio and Charity.

From Dio: "Hey, Cous, bigla kang naglaho kagabi kasama 'yong poging guy na 'yon, ha. Sana'y nadiligan ka para naman happy ang cousin ko! Itaas ang bandera!"

From Charity: "Hi, beh, sana okay ka lang. I left something inside your bag. It may help you. Ang pillbox na 'yan ay naglalaman ng Never/Forever pills. Nakuha ko 'to sa isang magaling na manggagamot na nakatira sa isang sikretong lungga sa Quiapo. Ang orange caplet ay tinatawag na Never Pill and this will make you heal and move on. At ang green caplet naman ay ang Forever Pill which will make you hopeful for love. These won't alter your present or future, but it will help you find people who can make your journey better and will help you ease the pain faster. Parang kapag masakit ang ulo mo, puwede mo namang hayaan na lang mawala ang sakit o puwede ka ring uminom ng Ibuprofen para mawala agad ang sakit. You can only choose one pill from the two. So, ikaw na ang bahala which caplet you would like to take, Never Pill or Forever Pill?"

I laid the two pills on my open palm, the orange caplet had the word Never engraved on it while the green caplet had the word Forever on it.
