Chapter 1: Nightmare

I kept tripping as I ran from my ex boyfriend who I broke up with three days ago. When I kept denying him he got really angry and said "I will kill you" in such a hateful voice over the phone, but I didnt believe him. I sat on the couch on a so called vacation of ours, I left him and got a hotel in Volterra, Italy.
I heard knocking on my door and went to answer it only to see Kyler with two knives.
"What are you doing?" I asked concerned but he swiped at me with one of the knives and I gasped and I quickly shut the door and locked it. I ran as fast as I could as I heard him kicking harshly at the door. Didn't realize my arm was bleeding alot, he must've struct me with the blade. When I listened, he was now inside the hotel room, I panicked and looked around and saw nowhere to hide, then I saw a window.
"WHERE ARE YOU!" he screamed and I heard the bathroom door slammed open. I shakingly opened the window and shut it behind me and quickly went down the fire escape.
When I reached the bottom, I heard from above "YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME EMERY," not drawing attention to himself he said it playful that way noone would assume he was trying to kill me.
As I ran, I looked back to now seeing him exit the building, running after me with the blades. I ran faster, trying to open door after door thats locked because it was 11pm and I was crying at this point. Down the street trying to open the door I turned around for the next one and Kyler then sliced the knife over my head and I gasp and trying not the black out as blood was pouring down my face I ran as fast as I could down the street and he was still behind me.
I saw a castle like building ahead and I tried my best to get there.
Then a knife flew into my leg, I screamed in pain and took the knife out and kept running. I dropped it by accident but I dont want him to catch me so i kept running. Another swiped my shoulder and the knife bounced several feet into the grass, I was crying really hard at this point. Trying to see past the blood I know I was covered in it.
When I got to the castle like building, i was glad that the door opened i turned to see he was 15 feet away running at me. I screamed and tried to shut the door but he shoved himself on it opening it and I tumbled backwards, managed to get up and ran. I hope somebody was in here, wheres the security guard?!.
I then felt the knife into my back and i screamed in pain, i fell to the ground but got onto my feet trying to get to the doors infront of me.
"Stop running Emery, you're done," I heard him say but I kept going. I got to the double doors and managed to open the heavy doors and ran inside only to have the other knife in my lower back, I screamed in pain and fell. Kyler got to me now and took the knives out and flipped me where I am now lying on my back, whimpering I said, "please, Kyler, stop" I barely got the words out.
"If I can't have you no one can Emery!" He then took my shoulders up but then slammed me against the brick tiles, my head slamming against them and I fell unconscious. Before I was totally out i heard growling, and then screaming from Kyler.

"No, Demetri, we shall not feed on this human," I heard someone say.
"She is bleeding Aro, alot and alot of us can only have so much control," I heard a voice say that I assume is Demetri.
"I'm curious of her story, although you are right; we will arrange a room for her, clean her up," this Aro says.
I felt strong arms pull me up and I couldn't protest or move as im in so much pain.
"Alec, Jane, you missed such an interesting event," this Demetri held me, but not in a loving way , he was pretty much dragging me.
Demetri saw Alec froze, "right? So much blood on her, Aro doesn't want her killed, gotta take her to a room and clean her."
"I will," this Alec whispered and both Jane and Demetri was shocked at what he said.
"Fine," Demetri said and dropped me forcefully on the floor and I towered over into a ball in pain, "suit yourself," Demetri says and ran back to the throne room.
"What are you doing?" Jane asked him. Obviously not happy at all.
Alec wiped blood from my eyes that i refused to open and he felt a strong feeling and withdrawal from me.
He picked me up and held me close.
"Oh my god, you finally found your mate?!" Jane almost squealed. "But how are you going to work this out brother?!"
What the hell are they talking about?
"I don't know sister, im going to clean her up now," Alec says and Jane smiled and left as told. I whimpered at each step. How long was I out as I woke to this, probably several hours maybe.
