The overall storyline of Malum is amazing. I've never read another book like this one. The pace was slow in the first half of the book, but the second half was faster and more action packed. This book does need major editing and some of the descriptions were vague. The authors word choice seemed to be a little limited, they used a lot of the same words to describe certain places and characters. Putting aside the technical aspect of this book, such as the lack of diversity in word choice, I would still recommend this book to anyone who is a fantasy lover.
