In the year 2030 a technology explosion sent humanity thousands of years in to the future the most in important devise is the fabricator a devise so advance it take quirks the smallest things to exist and makes raw resources like metal or hydrogen or nitrogen just ever no-organic thing so no marking life another Important devise was the slip drive a slow FTL device at its fastest it was 3.1 billion times the speed of light the other FTL device was the warp drive but that's later it's just diner over charge your slip drive to go 3.1 billion times the speed of light cause then you and everyone else onboard go boom ok no plasma weapons yet or shield no just rail guns and ion cannons the dreadnoughts ( a class of ship ) get an ion cannon that only fires forwards but there are 4 different railgun class type 1 point defense railguns fast firing anti star fighter weapons type 2 light railguns a good weapon for corvettes and lower type 3 medium railguns a good weapon for corvettes, frigates, destroyers, and light cruisers type 4 heavy rail guns good for anything bigger than a light cruiser
