Leyhlani's POV
Leyhlani: Okay Amarii, Imma catch you after the game.. I gotta stretch.
Amarii: Ok girl, good luck ... love you!
Leyhlani: Love you too.
I walked off and headed down towards the football field. I had already stretched but I just wanted to stall for a minute before the game to clear my mind from Seth. I watched as both football teams warmed up. As a cheer captain it's my duty to lead my squad into helping our school cheer for our boys, but tonight just wasn't my night.
Seth: What you thinking bout?
I turnt around and there he was. Seth fucking Morris just standing there, we haven't had a real conversation in a whole month and the first thing he says to me is " what you thinking bout ". Honesty I could turn around and just slap him but I knew we were out in public and I didn't want to make a scene.
Leyhlani: What are you doing here? You don't even attend this school anymore it's best if you leave.
Seth: I came here to see you duhh. Come here
He walked up closer to me and anger was all I was feeling. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was unhappy because of him, he's done nothing but cause me pain.
Leyhlani: Move the fuck back. Don't touch me.
Seth: What? What the fuck wrong witchu Jhit, huh?! You got a new nigga or something? You know I'll bust a cap in his ass right ?
Leyhlani: I said get away from me! You go a whole month without talking to me , you cannot just reappear into my life whenever you want to Seth!
Seth got closer and closer to me, at this point I'm more scared than angry. I know he's mad , and it doesn't get good when he's mad. I look around and I see JJ walking off the field towards us.
JJ: Aye Seth why don't you back away from her like she said.
Seth: JJ get the fuck out my face bruh. I'll handle yo ass just like I handled yo brother just keep talking.
Seth had got into a conflict with JJ's brother a year ago and JJ's brother had to go into surgery because of how badly he was beaten. After he recovered he left town and never came back and JJ hasn't heard from him since. I could tell JJ was mad.. real mad. JJ and his brother was real close to each other, and he barely even talks about him.
JJ: What the hell you just say bout my brother? Yo I'll really end yo life say that shit again bitch!
Seth backed away and pulled out his gun. At this point all eyes was on the three of us. Everyone screaming and yelling.
Leyhlani: Seth please! Just go!
Seth: You think imma let this nigga talk to me like that? Hell nawl!
JJ's eyes widened. He looked as if he knew we was about to die. I couldn't let that happen.
Leyhlani: Seth I'm begging you please.
Seth puts his fingers on the trigger. I ran in front of JJ and then everything went in slow motion. I heard two gunshots. When I looked down at myself I saw I was the one shot. All I remember is JJ holding me.
