20 - I Don't Know How Struggling You Are

"Sorry can't pick up your call cause I'm at the surgery room just now. Why did you call me?"

So I replied her

"Oh, sorry. Sorry for disturbing you. Are you free now?"

"It's fine. Yeah, why?"

As soon as I received the message, I pressed the call button. Shortly after, my called was answered

"Hello?"

"Hey..."

"Uhmm?"

"Hmmmm... ani. Have you eaten? Cause this morning you forgot to eat your breakfast right?"

"Arr... not yet."

I saw the clock and it's showing the lunch hours will end soon. So, I spoke

"Why didn't you eat? Lunch time will be over soon. Go eat first before continuing to work your, okay?"

I heard she whisper

"I wish I could eat."

My heart ached hearing that, so I'm asked again

"What time are you going home tonight?"

"Hmm... maybe around 8."

"Okay."

I didn't say anything after that and some goes to her. So, we just ended our phone call.

After our conversation ended, I felt guilty. Maybe she is too busy until she can't grab any food. Apart from that, I was planning to cook for her tonight. So, I went from my room and started going out to buy some stuff.

Altia POV

After 5 hours fighting in the surgery room, finally everything went smoothly. Then, I went to my room to get some rest before continuing my job. As I lean on the chair, I grab my phone. I saw 5 missed calls from Zico. I didn't think anything so I sent him a message

"Sorry can't pick up your call cause I'm at the surgery room just now. Why did you call me?"

After being asked several questions, shortly after, I received one call from him.

"Hello?"

"Hey..."

"Uhmm?"

"Hmmmm... ani. Have you eaten? Cause this morning you forgot to eat your breakfast right?"

"Hmm...not yet."

He then continued

"Why didn't you eat? Lunch time will be over soon. Go eat first before continuing to work your, okay?"

I whisper and thought he will not heard it

"I wish I could eat."

At that time, I was very hungry but if I went, others must be looking for me.

Now it's almost 7:30 pm. Finally, I arrive at home. As soon as I come in, I smell something delicious. But when I was about to go to my room, I heard someone shouting

"Waa!! Fire!! Ottoke."

So, I rushed to the kitchen and saw there was a bit of fire and Zico tried to get rid of it. Soon, I saw his hand was hit with the burning hot pot, so he flinched

"Auh... tteugeoun."

As I saw the scene, I threw my belongings to the floor and headed towards him. I took his hand and brought it to the sink. I opened the water and let the water cool his hand. Then, I close the stove.
