"Those are just dresses. Moreover, This is what I am paid for Lola. And I do my job perfectly. We've got you dresses that you will need when going out on a social outing. So now is your chance to pick out personal clothes. And those of your choice. And don't think about anything, just enjoy while you can. Okay?" Mrs Bakare asked.
"All these clothes are too expensive to be called casual clothes." She said looking at the Tees, jeans, skirts, crop tops, blouses and shirts.
"You don't need to worry about that. It is taken care of." Mrs Bakare smiled proudly.
"But I have enough already," Lola replied her.
"No, you don't. You pick or I tell Timileyin to do it for you." She said matter of factly but she had a motherly look on.
"I will gladly love to do it. I can already picture those clothes that will fit those curves perfectly." Timileyin said beside them.
"Timi." Mrs Bakare called in a tone of warning.
He whispered an apology and Lola laughed despite he just referred to her body shape.
"Let's do it together then." She said to him. She doesn't have any more energy to decline. Even if she does, they would gladly pick it for her.
So if there isn't anything she can do, at least she can choose the clothes of her choice.
Timileyin smiled and he gave Mrs Bakare a look she don't understand. The woman said nothing but she gave him a warning look.
They toured the boutique without picking any clothes. Although Timileyin picked some she refused to take them.
"Don't you like any of them?" He asked.
"They are amazing. There has the nicest material. But nothing seems to be at a better price. There are too expensive." She answered him.
"Look Lola, I understand how you feel. I feel that way when I began to work with my aunty Mrs Bakare."
She seems surprised to know the woman is his aunty. That was the reason why they seem so close and he feels free around her despite her being his boss.
He continued. "When I began to live with her and her family, I realized their world is different from the one I grew up knowing. It was hard to know the changes but I soon get used to it. So just accept it and enjoy it while you can."
"What if it is a dream that I don't want to wake up from?" She asked without thinking.
Timileyin laughed. "Sometimes I thought about that too. Nevertheless, enjoy it while you can. It might turn out not to be a dream but a reality that may never come again."
She liked him. She thought. She reminded him about her close friend David. Thinking about him now, she realised she missed him. And it's been over four months now since he last saw him when he went to Enugu for studying.
"You remind me about someone." She said as a small smile spread on her beautiful face. She expected him to ask but he just smile back at her. "But thanks, Timi."
"You are welcome. Now let's go shopping. My aunt will be waiting." He said with a grin.
She nodded and then she followed Timi's words 'Enjoy While You Can'. She picked the clothes she wanted but refused to be told the price of them.

Later that day when she got home. Her room was filled with all the shopping bags spread on the floor. Her brother sat on the floor looking at each one of the clothes and at the same time feeling the textures.
