She was angry that they wasted such a huge sum of money on things like this. But Mrs Bakare assured her that it was fine since Demilade had paid for it. But it did not change how she feel.

They moved to the shopping mall next and they bought makeup materials in its box for her. Mrs Bakare also bought different bags of different colours and designs. They shop for earrings, watches, necklaces and some female materials.

Then they went over to the shoe section. And there she was asked to pick shoes of her choice. She could not deny she had always dreamed of having all this but it was like a dream to her. She was afraid she will wake up and realize it was all gone because it was a dream.

"You need to pick something, Lola. Don't worry. It is all settled." Mrs Bakare assured her over again.

She liked the woman because she was very patient with her. And she seems to understand how she felt about everything.

"Even if I pick hundreds?" She asked the woman.

She smiled and nodded in response.

"It's nothing to Mr Demilade." She told her confidently.

Lola shakes her head letting her word sink inside her head. Even if she bought a hundred of these shoes of her choice, it won't take out much from Demilade's account. She told herself over and over. And it made her wonder how wealthy he was. Because everything he was doing - by buying all this is meant for the deal that will last just thirty days. A month. And she was sure he wasn't taking a dime back from her instead he will be paying her a huge sum of money.

Maybe she was right to choose this deal than work at the restaurants.

At least all the things she will buy and those she had bought will belong to her after the deal. And that will be a lot of good to her closet that hadn't been changed in a long time.

She picked a few of those that seem important to her because she couldn't bear the guilt of spending someone's money. She wasn't the one working for the money and she had no right to spend it lavishly.

"You need to pick more. These won't do." Mrs Bakare shakes her head, disapprovingly.

"No ma. This is okay. I have some at home. It's just for a short while." She told her. She wished she knew that everything was just for thirty days.

Just 30 days.

Their last stop was at the boutique. Lola was speechless at the clothes and their price tag. The price tags on the clothes make her want to run away from the shop. On a normal day, she wouldn't have dared walked into a mall like the one she was bought in. She knew her boundary and she will never cross them. She can't even afford the cheapest cloth in the mall.

But all because of a deal she was in one. And she was going to have an expensive dress without working for it. It was like a dream and a wish about to be granted but she couldn't shake away the feeling of guilt that it wasn't her money that will be used to pay for the cloth. And that the person buying it for her wasn't even a family or her boyfriend.

And while she was still thinking about the price and everything else Mrs Bakare was already picking dresses that she say will fit her well which the lady attendant also nodded in approval.

They looked at her and seized her up and began to decide the perfect clothes for her. She stood in awe while watching them. Some of the cloth they were picking can feed her whole family for a month and more.

"Now Lola, you have to pick some nice casual wear," She said when they entered the next boutique.

"Mrs Bakare this is enough. I don't know why we should be here. We've got enough at the last boutique." Lola complained.
