She wanted to shout at him telling him she was not some random girl but she kept quiet, gritted her teeth and swallowed hard.
"So, are we clear Miss Bamidele?" He asked with a raised brow looking at her face.
She nodded without saying any more words. And he seemed satisfied at her reaction, and then he turned around and entered the salon.
A woman was sitting on an expensive-looking sofa with some people in her front. They looked like her employees. They were all wearing identical black and pink polo. They were listening to what she was telling them. One of the females was the first to sight them and she almost turned red when she saw Demilade.
And just like their boss felt a presence in the salon, she asked the workers to part way. And they did and she looked in their direction. The woman was very shocked to see them. Demilade to be precise. And she quickly dismissed her workers who all went in a different direction but were still looking back at them. The lady making comments to each other, gawking at Demilade and the men were looking at him with a sort of pride on their faces.
"Oh, my God! Look who is here. The almighty Demilade Ninalowo." Said the pretty woman in heavy make-up and a sophisticated dress who looked like the boss in the salon.
"You know I don't like to be called by my surname Sholape." Mr arrogant said but in a way different tone than he had been using for Lola.
"Don't be offended, Demmy. It's just surprising." She said and she stood up and embraced him.
He hugged her back which surprised Lola and then let her go. She looked at him again like she couldn't believe he was the one.
"Is this really you Demmy?" She asked again.
"Of course Sholape." He said, chuckling.
"You look good as ever. That empire is pouring you money." She said with a coy smile.
Demilade gave a small smile while Lola just stared at them. She can't believe the jerk was smiling not smirking.
"You don't look bad yourself." He complimented making her blush red.
"But you abandon me after Yimika left. Is it because she was my best friend? You know it doesn't stop us from being friends." She pouted.
Lola mentally rolled her eyes. The lady was just blushing at a simple compliment and now she was openly flirting with him. What a joke! She thought.
"I'm sorry." Demilade apologized with a sweet voice.
Lola thought the woman must be a very good friend to him unless he won't be apologizing. Because he hasn't been anywhere nice to her.
Maybe he wasn't like that to everyone. Just like his PA once said to her. Or he was using it to get what he wanted from a man. She had learned in few times around him how rich people like him could do anything to get what they want. And complimenting the lady might be one of them.
"Let's go to my office." She said directing him to an office on the upper floor.
It wasn't until she followed behind Demilade that she noticed Lola.
