The music hummed through your headset speakers echoing in your ears. A glow from a ring light beamed from your face. You had a little over a thousand viewers in the stream watching you play Grand Theft Auto V. Everyone found it funny that other fellow streamers and players would pick on you in game.
"Come on! Why did you have to wreck that car!" You half yelled half sighed into the microphone.
Once you had enough of trying to get rid of your wanted level, you decided to let the chat pick what game you would be playing for the next hour. There were a bunch of names being thrown around from the Sims 4 to Call of Duty to Animal Crossing.
"Most popular one I see I play," You said trying to narrow down what the chat was saying.
Then a notification went off with your donation animation.

"Thank you so much! I guess we're playing FIFA," You laughed.
An hour went by of you failing at the game. You were pretty sure you had scored goals for the opposing team at this point. Maybe Grand Theft Auto was for the best. Although, for some reason you did gain two hundred more viewers when playing FIFA so that's a plus.
You ended the stream and made sure to turn off the bright ring light. It's almost midnight, you know what that means? Snack time. You headed into the somewhat small kitchen of the apartment you shared with your best friend. In the back of your head, you had been thinking about the Oreos in your pantry so you knew what had to be done.
By the time you made it back to your room you had one Oreo left in your hand. You crawled into bed and wrapped yourself up in your blankets. Time to check social media. You had a pretty decent social media presence considering you got paid to livestream. It wasn't a lot but it definitely helped and you were grateful for it. Then you noticed a request in your twitter messages.

You clicked on the profile and saw he had a little over 400 thousand people following him. Why would someone with a large presence be in your small realm of social media? You responded with a simple "Thank you! Glad you could get some entertainment from my bad gaming".
In his bio he had a link to his YouTube channel, so naturally you decided to check it out. He had commentary videos ranging from TikTok reactions to Jake Paul to 90 Day Fiancé. You found yourself in this spiral of watching one video after another. He was actually pretty funny.
When you went back to check your twitter dms you saw Alex had sent you another message.

It was getting pretty late so you decided it would probably be for the best if you tried to get some rest. You drifted off to sleep curled up under your blankets.
