Prologue

"Today the president declared that our country is hundred percent covid-free. He also announced that he will have his announcement later, live, for the measures and things to do to bring back the normal state of the Philippines.

This is Jinky Pascual for our Covid-19 update."

"Doc, We did it!" sigaw ng isa kong assistant na kasama ko sa room at bakas sa mukha niya ang saya.

"We ended the pandemic doc, let's celebrate," sabi ng youngest doctor namin sa hospital habang nakatingin sa akin na tila pinipilit niya akong pumayag sa kanyang inaalok.

Hindi naman siguro masama kung magcecelebrate kami, tutal tumulong din ako, kami, para matigil na ang pandemic.

Tumingin ako sa kanya at ngumiti.

"Call every doctor that's been assigned to handle covid cases and tell them to ready for a celebration in my house."

"Pano po doc yung ibang health workers? Hindi ba sila kasama?" aba nakaisip pa kumulit.

"We'll celebrate the next morning with them," sagot ko sa kanya at ngumiti para mas makumbinsi siya.

"My house is big but it's not big enough for the whole workers in my hospital. Let's just prepare the foods after we celebrate later, okay?" sabi ko sa kanya bago siya umalis para ibalita ang magaganap na kasiyahan.

We finally ended it, atlast we can now go back to our normal life. The parties, the celebrations and everything. I know that what we did is for the better and now, better life is coming.
