Thanksgiving

3rd person POV~

Today was Thanksgiving, where families and friends get together to celebrate what they are thankful for. Barry was especially excited for today; because today was the first time in 16 years he got to spend Thanksgiving with both of his parents. So, he wanted to make every moment perfect; so he decided to give a beautiful brunette girl a phone call a couple days in advance.

"Hey Caitlin," Barry said brightly

"Hey, Barry, what's up?" Caitlin said with pure joy through the phone

"Nothing really, um- I was um-" Barry's face was starting to turn bright red through the phone

"Yeah? Is everything okay" Caitlin said with a bit of a laugh

"Yes, um I was wondering if you would like to come to my family's Thanksgiving get together this Thursday?" Barry said in nervousness

"Yes, of course I would love to join you for your Thanksgiving get together!" Caitlin said while blushing through the phone.

"Great I'll text you all the details," Barry said with a bright smile on his face

"Great I'll see you then!" Caitlin said happily

"Okay see you!" Barry said relieved and happy; while hanging up the phone

Thanksgiving Morning~

A doorbell ringing filled the Allen Home, As Barry rushed to retrieve the doorknob he was stopped by his mother; she already knew that today Barry would be rushing around all morning to make sure everything was perfect! "Barry, I got the door, and don't worry everything will be perfect I promise!" Nora said with a sweet smile

"Thank you, Mom," Barry said  with a content smile while rushing back to the kitchen 

Nora gave Barry a nod as she opened the door; Nora laid her eyes on a young lady with beautiful golden-amber hair and she was dressed in a beautiful cropped lace top and high waisted dress pants which fitted her body perfectly! "You must be Caitlin correct? Hello, I'm Barry's mother, Nora, it is so wonderful to finally meet you!" Nora said while greeting her

"Hello Nora, It's wonderful to meet you as well. I'm sorry if I came a bit too early." Caitlin said very gentle and kindly

"No it's not a problem at all, I think Barry could use the company anyways; he's been stressed out all morning trying to make everything perfect," Nora said while greeting Caitlin inside her home and shutting the door behind her.

"Well your home looks perfect already," Caitlin said with a soft smile

"Why thank you and you look beautiful" Nora said

"As do you do too" Caitlin responded

Barry entered the living space where Caitlin and Nora were talking; Barry got one look at Caitlin and he was amazed at her beauty she looked perfect, Barry thought. "Hey Caitlin you look lovely today"

"Thank you, Barry, you don't look to be bad yourself," Caitlin said not wanting to admit that he looked handsome

"Well thank you!" Barry said with a sweet smile on his face

"Why don't you two, finish baking the desserts? It will be fun while we wait for more guests to arrive." Nora suggested

"Yeah, I think that sounds like a great idea," Caitlin said with a gentle smile
