Chapter 33: The norm that we are

Third Person POV 

It has been over 4 months since Jennie and Lisa broke up. They still live in one house and they still hang out with their friends together. Jennie and V have been officially together for 2 months and Lisa has been preoccupying herself with work lately as she finally got her promotion but can't seem to date anyone else, she still loves her, she still loves Jennie. 

Lisa POV 

"Hey Rosie, what brings you here?" Lisa smiles as she found Rosie at their door 

"I just wanted to see how you were doing, Lis. I know things aren't easy right now. I know seeing her with him breaks you everyday." Rosie says 

"It does, I feel like I am being shot in the heart over and over again, but what's keeping me alive is the fact that I see her happy. She's blooming Rosie, and I can't ever be selfish and take that away from her." She starts to cry 

"Lisa, remember the promise we made a long time ago. Why don't we live up to it already. I am ready, and you need this too." Rosie says 

"Not yet, Rosie. Not yet. While I can still be around her, I will be." Lisa says 

Jennie POV 

"Oh hey Rosie! How are you??" Jennie asks 

"Hi Jen. I am fine. Its good to see you, but I am going to head out now." Rosie says to her coldly 

"Will she always be mad at me??" Jennie asks Lisa 

"She loves you, Jen. She's just prolly not used to our set up" Lisa smiles 

Jennie can't help but feel sad that Lisa is still being so understanding.  

"Speaking of our set up. Do you mind if I have V over? I know it sounds inconsiderate but I kinda wanted to cook for him.." Jennie asks 

"Go ahead Jennie, I will just spend the night with Jisoo. Have fun. Send him my regards." Lisa says as she packs an overnight bag and leaves the house 

Hours pass and Jennie gets the house ready for her guest to arrive, she starts in the bed room. She notices that she still has pictures of her and Lisa on the night stand and in the bathroom. She gets a box and puts it all inside without thinking, she goes to Lisa's room and places the box on her bed and then she continues to clean the house. 

Third Person POV

The next day Lisa returns home and sees V's jacket on the chair, which gives her the idea that V is still there. 

She checks her phone and sees that Jennie texted her "Hey Lis, thank you again for letting us have the place last night. V and I left early as we are going out of town so don't wait up for me. Btw, V left his jacket on the chair you can just leave it there first. Thanks again and enjoy your day!" 

Lisa started crying hard, she didn't know what she did to deserve this, she doesn't know why she wasn't enough. Enough for Jennie to wait a little longer for her to get promoted and for them to have the wedding of Jennie's dreams. 

She made her way to her room and she found a box on the bed, when she opened it it was all the pictures they had together, with her and Jennie, and with them and Ella and Justin. She couldn't help but smile at all the good times. Next to the box was a smaller box with a note on it from Jennie. 

"Hey Lis, I just wanted to give all these things back to you. Specially the ring, I am sure one day you will find someone who won't ever take it off. Know that I want you to be happy. I love you, Lis. You are still my best friend. -Jen" 

Lisa felt that her world has officially fallen apart, that she can no longer stay. That she is finally throwing in the towel. That she is finally letting go completely. 

She grabs her phone and calls Rosie 

"Hey Lis, whatup?" Rosie says on the other line

"Rosie.. lets fulfill our promise now." Lisa says
