the next morning dixie walked up
stairs into addison's room. she had
a feeling that kyla would be there,
and her feeling was right. she saw
kyla all cuddled against addison. it
made her sick.

she didn't like how close they
were and hated how jealous she
was getting. she knew she was
overreacting, but she couldn't help
it. she quietly turned around going to
leave the room before hearing a voice.

"dixie?"

she turned around to see the
girl she has had a small crush on
for the past 6 months. she stretched
grabbing her phone and slipping on
her shoes before walking over to her.
"good morning," she smiled up at her,
their faces only a few inches apart.
"morning" dixie said rushing out of the
room attempting to hide the subtle blush
that had crept onto her face.

kyla rushed after her, assuming something
was wrong. she found her in her room with
her face in her hands. "dix? you good?" she
asked concerned for her almost friend.
"nothing," she lied before remembering,
"don't you have to go to the studio today?"
she asked. a sense of realization washed over
kyla's face as she remembered, ''OH SHIT!"
she yelled before giving the girl a quick hug.
"i'll see you later dix!" she waved before
running downstairs.

dixie sat, dumbfounded at the small physical
contact the two had shared. they have hugged
before—but this felt different. it had been so long
since they have gotten that close to each other.

dixie pushed the feelings away, knowing
the fact that kyla would probably end up
with nick—though she didn't like that feeling.
she groaned pushing pillows over her head
to see if it could get rid of the splitting headache
she was starting to get. eventually she passed out
from her migraine and peacefully went to sleep
dreaming about her 'almost friend'.
