I : No tolerance for resistance

A scream rippled through the icy cold halls, followed by a thud that echoed through the base. The source of that sound, however was now curled up, on his knees behind reinforced glass, arms held in a strong metal type of handcuffs, covering the hands almost like big, heavy, metal mittens, however these were obviously not for show, no no no, Red Leader made sure they'd restrain his new little test subject perfectly. 'No resistance will be tolerated' how he'd explained to his right hand men while discussing the plan months before.

This test-subject, however, was less keen on these cold, heavy mittens, as well as the other things he was restrained with and the machines he was wired to chilled him to his very core. At this very moment he was rendered immobile, his body too weak to resist the many painful shocks it was treated with, the muscles that could move a tiny bit back when he could still put up a fight spasmed, tensing and releasing said tension within a second. It drove him insane, the spasms, the exhaustion and most of all his rage, his pure blinding hatred.

After, what seemed like forever to the captured, bound, test-subject, the spasming stopped, so did the torturous electricity, which caught said prisoner off-guard. He weakly lifted his head, the muscles in his neck spasming once or twice, not used to the sudden movement, though it was slow and careful.

He was surprised to find out this action didn't earn him another harsh rush of electricity  being shot through him, instead he was met by the eyes of a tall figure, a man he knew, or at least what was left of what that man once was... the man's disfigured, charred face looked down upon him with a wicked grin, it was clear he had been enjoying the show the whole time, standing very calm as he towered over the other that was forced to his knees behind the glass.

"Hello, old friend...."

The man said to the shorter male that now held a glare, scowling at the other, despite his eyes being pure black voids a park of pure rage could be seen if they were looked at closely. A low growl formed at the bottom of the bound man, he wanted to move to harm the tall figure in font of him, only for the restraints to pull him back to the ground of his sell, earning an eye roll of the Red Leader as well as a simple wave before the painful waves of electric shocks met with the subject's body once again, earning more screams at the torture and pain, spasming and squirming on the ground as if he were fighting the excruciating pain he was being put through.

It seemed like this would be a long, dreadful day for Thomas... and frankly, it was.

Pure hell he had been put through that day alone, only for him to be met with a grim future once again as days passed.

After maybe half a week, Tom had no idea how long this had been going on, the Red Leader returned to his 'cell' (or 'shitty hellhole' as Thomas had so affectionately called it once after a day of pure torture). The man, as usual, had shown up with the same wicked grin he always sported around the base, this time however he had been smoking a cigar, stepping close to the glass that held Thomas captive and pressing it out, obviously meant to mock the tied down man. The only response he had gotten from said person had been a huff in annoyance, "What do you want To-" He had been cut off by a quick, powerful shock, before the man before him spoke up, "That's Red Leader  for you, Thomas" the low, growling voice had said, the Norwegian accent dripping with venom and malice, clearly not too fond of Tom calling him his name so casually like back in the day...

This made the smaller of the two's mind wander... why did Tord keep him captive here anyways?  Since when had he had this- this Army supporting this bastards insane ideas? how did-

"Now, Thomas..." Red Leader started off, "You must be thinking about why I'd want you of all people on earth here, correct?" Tom didn't answer, earning a soft sigh in reply before Tord continued on: "Well, Thomas, before I returned to you and your... friends, I let my fellow men keep a close eye on you. It wasn't much of a challenge, really, considering all the... things you three tend to end up in..." and so he kept going on and on, at some point the test-subject was about to stop listening, but something the tall man had said caught his attention again. "...The time your little... friend, Edd, got some type of 'superpowers' was remarkable, might i add... that monster, Thomas.... that was you, wasn't it?" Tom's gaze was now purely focused on the figure, a slight growl leaving him only for the wicked grin to return on Tord's face, "So I was correct! Perfect!" he said, seeming very, very pleased by the accidental confirmation.

Tom was about to speak up again, wanting to know what the hell was going on now, but the Red Leader had already moved to some of the desks and operating tables, grabbing a few files, grinning as he unfolded one, turning to the right page and showing a vague sketch of a horrible monster, somewhere it was still human... just very, very disfigured, it looked like pure nightmare fuel... and it was as Thomas listened to the man explain how he, Tom, a sarcastic, aggressive alcoholic, would be that monstrosity  in a matter of weeks, maybe months...

The unsettling pit of Tom's stomach filled with dread, confusion and fear as he started to feel sick, as in actually sick,  he couldn't even stop himself as his stomach emptied itself onto the floor in front of him, a few splatters on the glass, slightly gagging afterwards as saliva and chunks of food dribbled down to the ground as well, Tom stared at it in horror and disgust, the acidity of what he just had thrown up burned his throat and left a sour taste in his mouth. Red Leader's eyes, well the one you could see, the other being covered with an eyepatch, widened in surprise and his nose scrunched up in disgust before laughing at the pathetic display as he watched the test-subject shiver a bit, spasming even, at the thing that had just happened.

"Well, Thomas, I thank you for your time and... wonderful  opinion on my plans"

And with that, he left, leaving Tom there, locked up in his cell with only himself and his vomit to spend the cold, empty and lonely night with.
