When we entered the class, I took the seat next to her as usual and she looked Soo cute today with her perfect long silky hair tied in a bun. Whiles the teacher was teaching about the book we are currently studying which is Wuthering Heights,all I could think a out was running my hand through her hair but that would be awkward since she totally friend zone me. I mean I have never had to work soo hard for a girl since third grade. I was so lost in thoughts and I only came back to my senses when the teacher asked Sweet cake and I what we thought of Heath cliff and Catherine's love .
Selena's point of view (pov)
As I was daydreaming about Scott, the teacher asked us a question when she noticed we weren't paying attention.
"Mr. Scott and Miss Benson, would you two like to share your opinion concerning Heath cliff and Catherine's love?"
"Madam please, in my opinion I think that Heathcliff and Catherine's love was not really love. This is because Catherine felt pity for Heathcliff not love because as soon as Linton proposed to her she accepted because of his wealth and she didn't want to be with Heathcliff because he had nothing to his name and as he was being bullied by the society, Heath cliff mistake her kindness and pity for love." I concluded and took my seat.
"I disagree that Catherine did not love him and rather felt pity for him because she said and I quote "My love for Linton is like the foliage in the woods... My love for Heath cliff resembles the eternal rock beneath. "said Scott.
"Okay okay so I agree her love for Heathcliff wasn't out of pity, but Heathcliff love was obsession, he was so obsessed that after Catherine died he kept calling for her ghost to torment him and he passed down the revenge of Catherine and Linton's betrayal to their daughter young Catherine and Hilton's son, Hareton which doesn't make it true love." I said .
The class kept on looking at the exchange between Scott and I whiles Mrs. Mendes just smiled and the exchange went on till class was over .
"Sel, before you leave for football practice, can I talk to you? " Scott said.
"Sure what's up "
"Can I pick you up at 5.30pm for the Thanksgiving dinner ?" he asked.
"Oh yeah the Thanksgiving dinner, could you pick me at 6.00pm instead " I asked butting my lip.
"Sure your wish is my command,see you later Sweet Cake." he walks away after waving me. Immediately he leaves, Richel and Stacy come along.
"So are you guys coming to my house to help with my outfit for Scott's family dinner? " I asked
"Sorry I can't, my Aunt's flying in tonight." says Richel.
"I don't have plans so I'm coming. "
"I can't believe how fast you guys are moving, I mean you are already meeting his family and you two aren't even started dating yet? " she says applying I think the fifth layer of gloss in 2 hours, imagine how much she spends on gloss in a month?
"I know, I'm soo nervous even though I've already met his mom and sister, what if she thinks I am not good enough for her son? . " I say
"What do you mean by that, from what you told us his mom practically loves you or else she wouldn't have invited you over. " says Richel
"And if he's Dad doesn't like you then he's an asshole, so I want you to smile and go kick some butt at football practice whiles Richel and I head for our cheer leading rehearsal's at the gym"
