Returning to Devildom (Obey Me! Fanfiction Story)

Chapter 10: Night with Nightmares

     We didn't notice how many hours have we been laughing and chatting. We just heard a knock on the door and it opened. Beel and Belphie came in.

     "Sounds like you guys are having fun," Belphie said with a frown.

     "You can join us if you want to," I told him with a smile.

     Belphie shook his head. "No can do. Dinner is ready."

     "Let's go!" Beel said excitedly.

     The demons and I got up from the bed and walked out to the dining hall. "Maybe you forgot, Merielle. Eat fast. Beel is a big eater," Mammon said.

     "He is the avatar of gluttony, after all. That's what he does," I said with a smile. "But thanks. I'll do my best to eat fast."

     It seems that the demons didn't have dinner themselves yet, as well. Beel said they had been waiting for Mammon and Lucifer to arrive. Levi even told me that me being here is a big surprise to them. He said that it wasn't planned that I would be here in Devildom tonight, although they did talk about bringing me down here sometime when they think that I am ready to get to know them.

     "Plans had changed," Satan said. "But we are really happy to have you here with us again. It feels like there is something in the House of Lamentation that has gone missing since you left. We figured it must be your presence."

     "Now that Merielle is here, I could say that everything is back to normal again," Beel said before he stuffed his mouth with blackberry newt legs.

     It is good that Lucifer knows that I don't eat their kind of food. I am eating the human world style of ramen noodles made by Lucifer himself. I have to say, he is a good cook.

     We all talked and ate and laughed happily until it is time for everyone to go to their rooms and take some rest. We also made plans for what to do tomorrow and I am looking forward to it. I went to my room, shut the door, and paused for a moment. I did not bring any clothes with me.

     I walked towards the closet and opened it. I found it filled with clothes that are just my size. These must be the clothes that I had on my first year here at Devildom. As I rummaged through my clothes, choosing which one to wear for the night, my eyes shifted to the side of the closet.

     "Oh my! How did you get in here?" I said out loud to myself while looking at the treasure chest where my treasured gifts from the seven demon brothers are. Above it is a note. I opened it and read it. "Hello, Merielle. I brought your chest. I know you treasure this much so I cast a spell on it and took it before we left your house in the human world. Don't worry. It is just a shrinking spell so I could carry it effortlessly inside my pocket. Nothing is damaged, I assure you. I will visit every now and then. Your friend, Solomon."

     I smiled as I thanked Solomon in my mind and placed the note inside the chest along with my other treasures. Did I mention that Solomon also took the key with I'm and left it at the top of the chest? Because he did! I took the key, locked the chest, and went to a tiny vanity inside my room. I opened drawers until I found an emerald-stone necklace with a gold necklace chain. I took the necklace chain and left the emerald stone inside the drawer and closed it. I used the gold necklace chain and used the key as its new charm. I put it around my neck and stared at the mirror. It looks fine. I took off my dress, folded it neatly, and placed it carefully inside the chest after opening it. I locked the chest again and looked at the clothes inside. There are night dresses of different color. The fabric is soft! I can't wait to wear one. I picked the violet nigh dress with gold leaves design. I wore it and let go of my hair then plopped down on the bed.
