Chapter 9:
Mum let me spend the rest of the day at school. I didn't talk much after that, I was literally traumitised. When it came to the end of the day I couldn't speak. I was speechless. I don't know why. As Lucas and I walked out of school everyone has grouped up ready to go to a party, or something. I felt really left out.
"How about..." Lucas says.
"How about what?" I say, turning to face Lucas.
"We head off to the party everyones talking about." Lucas says.
"No... no." I say. "You know I promised my Mum I wouldn't go sneaking off, plus I'm grounded."
"Oh, come on!" Lucas pleads.
"No!" I say bitterly. Lucas grabs my arm and looks into my eyes, it's like his eyes were slowly hypnotising me. I snap out of it quickly and push of Lucas's hand. "No! Just take me home, Lucas!"
I turn around and walk towards the car. Lucas doesn't give up without a fight. He grabs my hand and literally drags me towards the crowd of people. "Come on, stop being such a spoil sport."
"No, Lucas!" I shout. "Leave me alone!" I push him and run in the opposite direction.
My home was a mile away, but I don't care. I just need to get away from Lucas.
