Chapter 10

Casey's POV
Beep... Beep...
I opened my eyes to see my father, my brother and my nephew
"What are you guys doing here" I asked
"You're in the hospital" said my Dad, his name is Rob
"Why" I asked sitting up
"There was an accident" said Connor
"If there was an accident, why is Chris here" I asked again
"Because Nothing is physically wrong with you" Dad answered
"What happened out there" I asked and Connor bent down
"Hey, Buddy, go wait outside" said Connor
"Okay" said Chris and he went outside and Connor stood up
"General Booth and some scientists were shot and killed by Iraqi Soldiers" said Dad, the shock hit me all at once
"What happens next" I asked
"I get promoted to General and Connor becomes Lieutenant" said Dad
"What about Chris" I interrupted
"Connor will be the Lieutenant for your team" said Dad
"What's that supposed to mean" I asked
"It means that you can have Nurses take seven pints of your blood out and it won't affect you" Connor answered
"What" I said in disbelief
"You're immune system has been enhanced, along with your strength and speed" said Connor
"What team" I asked
"The operation that the previous General had sent you on, was a training exercise" said Dad
"What do you mean" I asked
"The Serum that they gave you, was the same one from that movie you like" said Connor
"Actually, you were the one that liked the movie, I think Batman's cooler and I have since we were kids" said Casey
"Hey, Dad, could you go check on Chris"  asked Connor 

"Sure" said Dad as he walked out

"What team" I asked as Connor turned toward me 

"Dad thought it would be best if you and your friends were put on a special forces team" said Connor 

"Special Forces?" I asked 

"More like a swat team but we don't bring you in for that stuff" said Connor 

"Mom's dead and Laura's dead, what happens to Chris" I asked 

"You stay with him unless we need you and your team" said Connor 

"What about when I'm gone" I asked 

"Aunt Cora" Connor answered before a soldier came into the room 

"Sir, General Booth's body isn't there" said the soldier making Connor turn around 

"What do you mean" Connor asked 

"We searched the entire lab, but his body wasn't there" said the soldier 

"Are you sure" Connor asked 

"Positive" said the soldier 

"Did the general say anything to you Connor asked me

"before the transaction happened, Booth and I were talking I told him that he hired a nurse off the street and he said Soon that won't matter, when I asked him what that meant all he said was you'll see" I said 

"Sir, they need Field, Rocks, Vallley, Lohan, Jones and Donaldson in control" said another soldier

"let's go" said Connor
