What If...(STEVEN UNIVERSE)

PART ONE

Amethyst was in the kitchen. She was putting railing on the counter sides, and putting cords on the handles of the cabinets. She also moved everything from the bottom cabinets and drawers to top ones. This way hed be able to reach it without hurting himself.

After about an hour, they all met in the living room.

"Do you think it'll be ok for him?" Pearl said.

"I'm not sure..." Garnet said. An awkward silence.

"I'm just going to say it since no one else will...we all know it's my fault," Amethyst said.

"What? What, amethyst this isn't your fault! If anything this is my fault. I should have stepped in, I failed him..." She said.

"What do you mean? I should have just let her get to me first, maybe she wouldn't have gone for him and then we wouldn't be in the mess!" Amethyst said. Both were crying

"Stop it, both of you. We are all at fault here...we didn't know what would happen. Even though I should have...we all could have done things differently. But if we keep on arguing about it we won't get anywhere!" She was yelling now. She was clearly hurt. They all were.

"I'm going to the temple," Garnet said, going into the room with a singular bubble. The bubble held a heart-shaped gem. Spinel.

"We should go with her...what if she shatters her?" Amethyst asked.

"I'll go..." Pearl said.

She left the purple gem in the living room.

"Garnet? I-...i know what you may want to do..." Pearl said. Her head hung low.

"She deserves it..." Garnet said holding the bubble.

"We can't do that...you know that... it's not right..." Pearl said, walking closer.

"What's not right is what SHE did to Steven!" She yelled.

"I know, but, " she smiled and laughed softly. ." you what Steven would say right now? 'She deserves a second chance...'"

Garnet let go of the bubble falling to the floor.

Pearl walked over..." I know it's hard...but...we all know Steven wouldn't want this, and we have to stick by our own values...we just have to be patient" pearl said

Garnet was crying. They heard the door open. It was amethyst. She ran over to them. They all hugged while crying.

"You know, Steven would have found a way to get us to laugh, " amethyst said through tears.

"Yeah, he was always funny like that, he never liked to see anyone cry..." Pearl said, a smile on her face thinking of Steven.

"H-he always wanted us to be together so, that's what well do for him...we won't fall apart, and when hed back well all be together again. Even if he's missing a part " she laughed.

They all just continued to cry together.

They stayed in there for a while just crying.

"Remember how many gems he's helped? Peridot, Lapis, Jasper, so many every after they tried to kill him..." Pearl laughed. "He would treat her differently...we all know it..."

"Wait..Pearl, do they know?" Amethyst asked.

"Oh...they don't...maybe...maybe its right that we go and tell them..." Pearl said, standing up. She wiped her tears and walked toward the warp pad. The other two followed.

They warped to little homeworld, where they saw the three pacing.

"Have you guys heard?" Pearl asked in a sad tone.

"No what's happening! We saw that gem you guys poof her but then we saw an ambulance and who were they taking and wheres Steven?!" Peridot said quickly.

"Uh, well I want you all to calm down first...its not the best of news but it's not the worst either!" Amethyst said trying to lighten it up.

"That gem we fought, she had a rejuvenator, and when she missed us she went straight for Steven. And, well, he didn't poof but she did take his right arm. Since he's half organic." Garnet explained.

They all looked at her, dumb founded.

"So this all happened today?" Bismuth asked.

"Yes, " Pearl said

"Ok, I'll be right back." She warped away, and came back, lava soaking her hair.

"Are you guys, ok?" Pearl ask.

"When can we see him?" They asked.

"Well, we aren't sure...be isn't allowed home till next week, and even then it isn't a promise he'll be awake." Amethyst said, looking down.

"Oh..." Lapis said. She left.

"Is she going to be ok?" Garnet asked Peridot.

"I think...ill go with her.

Slowly, they all left the he's going back to the house to wait for news on Steven.
