Both Hailey and Nathan park their car in front of her house. They turn off the engine and get out locking their door. Nathan follows Hailey to the front door which she unlocks and opens. They then steps inside. Once inside, she places her bag and car keys on the table at the door and makes her way to the kitchen. Nathan follows her and takes a seat on the chair in front of the counter after being told by her to do so. She walks to the fridge and opens it. She bends slightly and looks inside.

"I have juice, water and soda. What will you like to have."

She asks him.

"A soda please. Thank you."

She nods her head and after taking a can of soda and a bottle of opened champagne, she closes the door with her hip.

She turns around and places the can and bottle on the counter where he is sitting at. She turns to one of the cupboard and removes a champagne glass and a normal one. She knows that Nathan does not like to drink directly from cans and bottles hence the second glass.

Nathan eyes the champagne wondering why she did not offer it to him. She knows that champagne is one of his favorite unless she has forgotten. That must be the reason.

Getting back to the drinks, she pours each one in their respective glasses and hands over Nathan his drink.

She takes a sip of her champagne and looks at him.

"It's not alcoholic and we both know that you hate non alcoholic champagne."

She says knowing what is on his mind.

He scrunches his face and nods his head. He remembers the first time he tasted it at her insistence. As he took the first sip, he wanted to spit it out immediately. But he swallowed the champagne as if it was poison just for her.

His thoughts are interrupted by her laughter. Beautiful. It's been years since he has heard her laugh. When they were together, he would make her laugh just to hear this beautiful sound and also because he never wanted to see her sad.

"Sorry. It's just that I remembered the first time you tasted it. Your expression was so funny."

She says once she stops laughing.

"It was horrible. I don't know how you can drink this."

He says looking at her glass.

She shrugs her shoulders. She hates alcohol. Never tasted it. The slightest taste of any alcoholic drink makes her nauseous. But fortunately, she can stand the smell.

"Got used to it."

They sit down sipping on their drinks enjoying the silence until Hailey decides to break it.

"I should have told you in the beginning. My birth name is Sophia and that of my mother is Alice."

"Kayla told me."

Nathan says.

Sophia is a beautiful name and it suits her, so does the name Hailey. He wonders if she will ever change her name back but then it has been almost ten years and she is still known by her second name. His thoughts are interrupted by her voice.

"A year after the murderer was sentenced, he somehow escaped from prison. The police was sure that his intention was to kill mom and me. Thus, we were placed under the Witness Protection Program.

At first the police wanted to separate mom and me, send us to different places. But we refused to. We had only each other and could not bear not being together. So, it was decided that we move to another country and we chose to come here where no one knew us."
