Berlin is arrogant, narcissistic and seems to be a psychopath, showing multiple symptoms such as superficial charm and lack of empathy, proven as he coldly ordered the execution of a pregnant woman. He is calm, patient as well as eloquent and plays mind games with some of the hostages. It is said that he has a pathological need to make a good impression.
He has a sarcastic sense of humor, often mocking his fellow crew members and the hostages.
He has five failed marriages. Each wife he seems to have left because of pregnancy.
Although his cold heart,he does anything he can to save his fellow members. Which includes his death in season two.
