•The Girl In The Library•

He didn't even get your name.

Draco entered the common room, and the first thing he saw was Crabbe and Goyle munching on Honeydukes sweets. It was an unpleasant scenery to walk into

He sighed, walking forward, and sitting on the couch.

"where were you?", asked Goyle

"why do you care?" Draco scoffed, leaning back on the couch

Crabbe and Goyle looked at each other, and back at Draco. In the end, Crabbe answered, "you missed the triwizard champions selection", he said as he chew some chocolate frogs

With a disgusted look, Draco asked, "who got in?"

"Krum, Fleur, Diggory, and-"

"and? You mean there's four?" Draco cut Goyle off, furrowing his brows, "who's the fourth one?"

"Potter", said the voice from behind them, it was Blaise, "Potter somehow managed to put his name in the goblet, and Dumbledore was furious, you should've seen his face", Blaise continued, sitting beside Draco

Draco's mouth gaped in shock, "my father will hear about this",

"i bet", Blaise laughed, and opened the book he was holding, "where were you anyways?"

"in the library", Draco answered, then a picture of your cute flushed self popped up on his head, making him smile, "hey, do you know the girl in the library? A Hufflepuff, has H/C hair, E/C eyes?"

Blaise looked up from his book and raised an eyebrow, "the girl in the library? You do realize there are a lot of people with that qualities"

Shaking his head, Draco said, "she's really shy"

With that, Blaise raised an eyebrow, "a most Hufflepuffs are shy, but i think i know who you'te talking about", Blaise said, closing his book and putting it on the table infront, "i always see her in the corner of the library, her nose on a book"

"yes, that girl", Draco mumbled

"well,", Blaise grinned, "her name's Y/N, she's very shy and secretive. No one really talks to her, but i guess she's fine", he shrugged

Draco smiled, "thanks", he then stood up, and walked up to his dorm room. Once there, he got a piece of parchment and wrote his mother a letter with his quill

Guess he mentioned Y/N a little too.

A few days later, you were once again in the library, reading a book, and again, absentmindedly singing

And Draco was there too. Again.

Not to put back books, of course, but to just sit down and read. He enjoys learning new things, he finds it fascinating.

But as soon as you started singing, from the other side of the isle, Draco stopped what he was doing. He listened carefully as you softly sing the words. He stood up, and walked to the side of the bookshelf, leaning on it and listening to you.

"can i go where you go? Can we always be this close?" you sang, as you continued to read your book, "forever and ever-", you stopped, as you felt eyes on you

You didnt like attention, but getting every gut, you looked up, meeting the same silver eyes you saw before. They were beautiful.

"why'd you stop?", he asked, but you didn't answer, instead you stood up and started packing your stuff, "please don't go", Draco said, making you look up at him in surprise

"y-you want me to stay?", you ask

He nodded, "yeah, i want to know what song you were singing"

"oh", you said, and hesitated if you should tell him or not. He was Draco Malfoy, not really a big fan of muggles, but because you didn't want to seem rude, you said, "just a muggle song i know"

Draco's eyebrows rose, "a muggle song?"

You nodded sheepishly, "yeah", you said and grabbed your bag, and was supposed to walk away, when Draco grabbed your wrist, making you turn around

"it's fine if it's a muggle song. It sounds quite good", Draco smiled

To say you were shocked- well it's true. You didnt expect someone like Draco liking a muggle song. His family didnt like the muggles.

But your kind heart smiled back and said, "yeah, it does sound nice, doesn't it?"

You slowly walk towards the chair you sat on earlier, Draco following you and sitting beside you

"i dont think we've properly met before", Draco said, and cleared his throat, "i'm Draco Malfoy", he said, holding out a hand

You smile shyly and shook it, "Y/N"
