"Not really." Bayo disagreed. And Demilade shrugged. "Let's go clubbing best man."

And they climbed into the car and drove off into the road.

At the club, they were served their best wine and they sat in the VIP section of the club looking down at the people in the bar below drinking and talking.

"I miss those days at the club. You worked hard and at the same time we still party and club. What change Demmy?" Bayo asked his friend.

"I run a multi Billionaire company, several hotels and clubs now. I have a lot of work to do now. More responsibilities. So what about you? What change? You never stop going to clubs and parties like me." Demilade asked taking a sip from his glass cup.

"I got married, Demmy. I'm now a married man. I have to live responsibly for my wife and daughter." He explained. Demilade nodded in understanding. "And Demmy. Your mom called me." He looked at the face of his friend to see his reaction to what he just told him. It is expressionless.

"She is very happy for you." He told him looking at a couple talking and laughing below them.

"She also talks about..."

"Marriage." Demilade completed.

Bayo nodded in agreement. "So you know Demmy." He rubbed the tip of his glass. "If I haven't seen you with ladies, I would have believed you to be gay. But you are not. Why are you not letting any woman into your life? And I don't mean those you use just for pleasure."

Bayo looked at him curiously waiting for a reply.

"To be honest, I'm kind of....afraid of women. I'm afraid to commit to them. They are nothing but a pain in the ass. You know what I have gone through with women. Most of them are after my money." He said with a distant look.

Bayo dropped his glass of alcohol and crossed his arm on his chest and look at his friend.

"I know Demmy. I also don't even understand women. I'm more scared of them than you. I have a wife but sometimes I still feel like I don't know her. It's hard to understand. So just go along with the flow and your heart. Solitude is tiring and boring. Do you know how I feel to return home with someone waiting for me?" He paused.

He continued. "I feel blessed, honoured..... unexplainable to have someone who loves and cherishes me. I don't even have to pay women for sex. And my baby. My princess. Do you know how beautiful it feels to hold her in my hand? I have never felt so proud and accomplished in my whole life whenever I carry and look at her. I can't trade her for anything even my cars. You deserve to know such feelings, Demmy. Why don't you give yourself a chance to be happy? Every woman is not the same. There is surely one that's meant for you." Bayo advised his friend.

"I appreciate your advice and I am happy for you. I really am a friend. But I am not ready for that." Demilade said.

There was silence before Bayo speaks.

"It's her. It's her right? "

"Who?" Demilade asked facing his friend.

"You know you've been acting weird and keeping to yourself since she left you."

"Are you talking about Angela?"

"Who else will I be referring to?"

"Angela is my past. It has nothing to do with this. I've dated other girls after her." Demilade said.

Bayo scoffed. "But no one captures your heart like Yimika and Angela. Those other ladies were just excuses. And they are not the reason for anything. Yimika was so proud of herself. And selfish. Angela was literally after your money." He poured himself another drink. "But you need to move on from them. One is happily married you know. You should also be happy. That is what your mother wants for you. I could feel it when she talked to me."

"I know. I just can't. I want to make her happy. I know she is disappointed in me." Demilade said dropping the glass cup on the table.

"She is not but you should make her happy Demmy. I know you don't want her sad. I understand how much you love her." Bayo said which was the truth. He knew his friend very well.

"I'm thinking about something." Demilade brought up a thought.

"What is it?" Bayo questioned.

He had been having some thoughts since his mother's last visit. He has to come up with a plan to make his family happy and everyone back off.

"What are you planning Demmy?" Bayo asked.

"It's just a thought. I am not sure about it yet. But.."

"What is it?" Bayo asked curiously.

And he told his friend everything concerning his plan. While Bayo listened with keen interest.

"Are you crazy Demilade?" He finally voiced out when Demilade was done telling him his plan. "That is not a good idea. I'm not in support of this. You need a serious relationship. A serious one if you want to get married."

"And who is talking about marriage? This is just to help the situation at hand." He said to his friend.

"This is not a good idea Demmy. It can hurt you and your mom. And what if the person doesn't agree?" He asked.

"No one says no to money. If one person doesn't agree. Another will." He spoke confidently.

Bayo exhaled loudly and took a large swallow of his drink. "I don't know Demmy. I don't like the idea."

He wasn't so sure about his friend's idea. But in a way, he felt like he should support him and hoped that something good will come out of his silly plan.

"Nothing is going to happen. I assure you." Demilade assured his friend.
