He was clueless about the kind of job to give her at the moment because of her qualification. He had thought she was qualified and probably a graduate.

"I have few vacancies for now. But with your qualifications, it will be quite hard to get you a decent job because of the jobs available now. If you don't mind, I will get back to you." Demilade said.

Lola's face fell with disappointment. She knew with her age and her qualifications, it would be hard to get a good decent job.

               She just nodded.

"I will call my friend or colleagues if they have any good job available." He said noticing her disappointment. "And I will get back to you through your father. "

"Okay. Thank you sir." She appreciated.

Demilade glared at his best friend Adebayo as he approached his seat. He had forced himself in despite he warned Dayo not to let him. But he knew it was quite impossible.

The man in question was grinning at him, rolling his car keys around his finger. He was very sure that he just got a new car and it was a way of flaunting it and telling him. He knew about his love for cars. And he loves them more than anything in the world - except his wife and baby.

But there were alike in that aspect.

             They both love cars.

"You're scaring me, Demmy." Adebayo teased his friend who was still glaring at him. He took a seat in front of his friend. "You've changed your desk. This is quite expensive Demmy." He touched the table, nodding in satisfaction. "Always the best."

               Demilade just rolled his eyes.

"So best man, long time no see." He said with a smirk.

"I'm busy Bayo," Demilade said flatly rubbing his hand on his head.

"Then tell me when you are never busy. You are always busy Demmy. Se o fi se e ni? You are so busy that you didn't even come to see my wife and daughter. Except for calls on the phone. I'm hurt Demilade." He said placing a hand on his chest. [Are you cursed?]

Demilade face turned apologetic. He knew that his friend wasn't joking. He was sincerely hurt. He had promised to visit and he never did since their wedding.

"I'm sorry okay? I'm sorry Bayo. I just have a lot on my plate. There is this contract that I am after and I need to get it." He explained to his friend.

"Apology not accepted," Bayo said and Demilade looked at him like he was crazy.

He expected him to understand. But that does not seem to be the case.

"What else do you want me to do?" He asked frustrated. If it was someone else, he wouldn't have cared. But it was his best friend and the closest to being a brother. Bayo had done a million for him.

"Okay. I'll come over to your place this weekend and spend the night. I'll sleep over. Okay with that?"

"That would be so nice Demmy. But no thanks." Bayo said shaking his head.

"What else do you want?" Demilade asked between clenched teeth. He had a lot to do and Bayo was in his office at the wrong time and it wasn't helping.

Bayo grinned widely. He knew he was getting on his friend's nerves. He was pushing some buttons he shouldn't have. But he was enjoying watching his friend in that way for the time being. And he thought it was good enough to pay him for not visiting him.
