Above the Sky

Through raging wars,

past the sins at our core,

we all wish we could soar.

bounded by earthly chains,

forced to gaze up in shame,

we all wish to get past the pain.

To be separated from struggles,

to throw away our troubles.

At the end of the lonesome road,

a freedom upon us is bestowed.

To ascend beyond the sky,

no longer surrounded by lies,

a change of the world hereby.

But when there is no longer darkness,

when your reflection is brightest,

when you can no longer even cry,

can you truly consider yourself alive?
