Random Family Blues

I created six random people and labeled them as the 'roomates family'. Ive been having a lot of fun watching them do their own thing. They mainly just play with clay, play video games, and work out... So it's a tad boring, but I make it interesting by throwing in a few twists. I had one guy adopt a kid. I also had that same guy start to bake a cake and then leave so the house would set on fire. One thing that I have been disapointed about is that the sims will not inniate romantic interactions on their own. Can they not do this of their own accord in the Sims 4 or are my sims just lame?
