Spiderman's POV

I ended the car chase as quickly as I could to catch back up with that girl. After landing on the vehicle, the driver started shooting through the roof of the car. I flip to the side of the car kicking my feet through the already opened window and kicked the man onto the passenger seat. I webbed him there to the seat and brought the car to a stop. As police pulled up behind me, I exited the car and shot a web up to a high building, and started swinging back to the area where I left the girl. I couldn't get her eyes out of my head... there was just something...different about her.

I landed back on the building I had left her at with no sign of her. I'm too late I thought. I heard a yelp off to the side of the building followed by some mumbled talking. I ran to the edge of the building and looked down into the alleyway below. My heart dropped at the view in front of me.

A man in a lab coat was holding up the girl's head by her hair, while two other guards had her pinned to the floor. I wanted to jump in right away but I had to come up with a plan. Along with these three men, there were several other guards I guess as back-up at both ends of the alley. Why do they need this many men just for this one girl? What's so important about her?

"Karen, enhance my audio," I whispered to my suit's A.I.

"...little bird, it's time to go back home. If I were you, I would just stop trying to fight us," the man in the lab coat said.

Despite being held down she gave him a venomous look and then spit at his face. This girl is wild! She is completely outnumbered and outmatched and she spits in his face. Her yell realigned my focus, "I will never stop fighting! And I will never stop trying to get away from you!"

The man simply wiped his face with a handkerchief, put it back in his pocket, and then punched her hard across the face. My knuckles tightened on the edge of the building. Okay, it's time to get in there.

"Load her up. And make sure she is out cold before putting her on the transport." The realization hit me like a brick when I understood that they were gonna hit her again. My body took over and without thinking, I swung down and kicked the two guards off her back. I webbed them against the wall and knelt to her side.

"Hey, hey, are you okay?" I helped her onto her knees. She had a thin trickle of blood down the side of her head, a cut and already bruising cheek from where he just hit her, as well as a cut across her shoulder.

She clenched her eyes hard as if gaining some composure ad control over her eyesight and then opened them with an exhale. "You need to get out of here! I don't need any more people getting hurt cause of me."

She stood up all the way and swayed slightly. I put my hand on her shoulder to help steady herself. "Are you crazy? I am not gonna leave you here knowing this is happening!"

Y/N's POV

I stood there with a shocked expression. For once, I didn't have to do this alone. I snapped back into reality when two men wrestled Spiderman to the ground fighting in front of me. He dealt with them while I fought two of the guards running at me.

Both of us were fighting for what felt like forever until I heard Dr. Malcolm yell through the commotion. "Oh, Firebird! I would stop fighting if I were you!"

I whipped my head around to look at him. Off to the right of me, Spiderman is on the ground on his back with his hands in front of him as a gun is pointed at his face by one of the guards.

"Well, that is considering you don't want your new friend here to get hurt," he spoke again.

I examined the situation we were in. My eyes slowly scanned around me and more men had come, standing off in the distance as if waiting for Dr. Malcolm's cue. They had body-sized shields in case I started using my power. There were two guards next to Dr. Malcolm that started walking towards me. They each took a spot behind me and kicked the back of my knees forcing me to kneel as Dr. Malcolm walked closer to me. The men behind me each held onto an arm as Dr. Malcolm cupped my chin and forced my head to look at Spiderman.
