I was back to square one, except with cleaner cloths. I couldn't go back. Then I heard distant laughing. I look inside a window and saw a talk show. I look to the counter and then to the coffee. Something was familiar about this place. My head was attacked by this upheaval shake. I remembered now, I use to go to this cafe with a women. We were laughing. Happy. She had red hair and she was pale. I was so happy. Can I find that happiness now?
"Miss."
I look up and saw a boy with an apron on. He look at me with concern eyes. Then he smile.
"Would you like to come in for some coffee?"
"I have no money."
"It's fine. It can be on me."
"I'm good."
"Do you need to sit down?"
"No I'm fine."
I walk away before he could speak again. It was dark time already and there were less people on the sidewalk. The dark was cold and quiet. The street lights were bright enough to cover one part of the road. I walk to a corner to relaxed when I heard a door burst open. Someone was begging and being shoved. I peak the corner and saw a man on the ground surrounded by three men with bats. The last man came out and peer down at the man on the ground. The next thing I knew, the man was getting beat with bats from all three of the other men. All I could do was stare at them. I decided to leave when I saw blood. I didn't except to back up into a body. I turn around and saw a hairy man looking mean at me. I look him up and down, standing my ground. He reach and pull out a gun. I grab the gun, turn it down and punch him. He stumble back and I threw the gun away. I didn't know how I did it but I did. He was coming for a swing. I duck and hit his private part. He groans and stumble back holding his-
"Stop."
I froze when I felt a gun being pushed to my head. The man was red by the time he look up at my serious face. Someone grab both of my arms and handcuff me. Then a black bag was drop over my head. I fought back when two people pick me up and threw me in a trunk. I felt it move and shift under me for a few minutes. Probably hours. I found something sharp on my finger tip, like a nail. I grab it and start picking at the lock. Then it stopped. The trunk open and someone jerk me out. The bag was removed and all I saw was bodies of water. I turn to see a boy. He points the gun at me and smile.
"Can't believe I miss one. Well almost."
"What is this place?"
"Take a long look because this is the last place you will see."
"Why drive me all the way here just to kill me?"
"Makes my job easier. Tell me what you know."
"About what?"
"You know exactly what?"
"I don't know."
"Who are you?"
"My name is Milly. I don't know the rest."
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"I can't remember my past."
"You suffer from amnesia."
"What's that?"
"It's the reason why you can't remember anything. Great, you wipe your memory before I could know the truth, back to square one."
"Then let me go."
"I can't. You've seen too much."
I use the nail to shift around the hole. He was about to pull the trigger. Three. Two. One. I broke free from the handcuffs and ran straight for the water. Bullets follow my every move. I did a cartwheel in the water. Bubbles disperse around me. It was the wrong time but it happened. A memory of me running in the woods. Fighting. Shooting. I finally reached the X mark and a man appeared. He went near my ear and whisper do it again. I swam to a different shore and cough some air into my lungs. I look around before I started running. I never knew I could do that. What was that? Who was I? I need to find somewhere to lay my head. It was a long shot but I went back to Tiffany place. The police was everywhere. I didn't stay to see what happen. I finally found a old building to lay my head. Once I laid down, looking at the stars. They became hazy and watery. Tears flow down my cheeks uncontrollably. Am I a nobody? Where can I go? The wind howl deeply at me. I curl up on a side and cried myself to sleep. I woke up to a ticklish feeling. I woke up and saw a spider. I stand still for a moment, thinking about my options. When the spider sink low enough I blew him away. I got up slowly and turn around. I had bigger problems. A wolf was eating an animal right behind me, well in front now. I stare at the wolf while walking away slowly. I made a run for it before the wolf saw me. I slam into something hard. I look up and saw a gun. He was back.
"So you was searching for me this whole time. I'm flatter."
"I can't let you go. You have seen to much and you need to be dealt with."
"Go ahead do it."
"This will be easy."
Before he pulled the trigger, I thought of something that could postpone my death.
"Wait. I want to speak to your boss."
"How do you know I have a boss?"
"You spent this night looking for me just to silence me about what I didn't want to see. You obviously have a boss who you don't want to disappoint. Bring me to him."
"Why?"
"There are more ways to be silence than death."
"If you think I won't do it, he won't hesitate to kill you."
"Its a risk I'm willing to take."
He hesitated for a moment. He was thinking of good use and he had curiosity in his eyes.
"Fine. Let's go."
