<Elmo’s POV>

Napahampas ako sa steering wheel after kong marinig ung kwento ni Lo, “What the fck, Lo. Ba’t ngayon mo lang to sinasabi sakin?”

“I-I don’t know. I was just—I’m not sure myself. Maybe I got scared of what she might do if umamin ako.”

I mean her educational and family background is good.”

“People change, Moe.”

Tama si Lo, people change. Some people change for the better, but for some, unfortunately they change for the worse.

“How’d you know a place such this?”

“I’ve told you, I heard it from Dad and nabasa niya lang sa dyaryo.

“I do but only if it’s about the field I’m working.”

“Wait, stop the car here.” She say and I immediately stopped the car.

“Why? Are we here?”

“I think so, pero we have to park the car here so that they won’t hear it. Baka may magawa pa si Janine if ever na malaman niyang may ibang tao pala.”

Kahit papaano kampante ako kasi nandito si Lo. Kasi kung sakaling ako lang magisa, baka kanina pa ko sumugod without thinking and baka yun pa ung maging dahilan para maging malala ung situation.

Bumaba kami ng kotse and we look around. Where could they be?

“That warehouse looks suspicious.” Lo said while pointing at one of the warehouses. Tumingin ako sa direction na un and tama si Lo, medyo suspicious nga yung place ‘cos it’s the only warehouse na bukas ung gate. Ung ibang gate kasi nakakandado.

Nilingon ko si Lo, “Stay here, Lo.”

“What? No! We’re going there together.”

“No, Lo. Listen to me, you have to stay here and call the police. You have to lead them. Okay?”
