"You did great kiddo, sounded great too!"
His grin made his mustache bristle and warmed my heart just a little. It was hard for it not to when he was such a jolly guy. Marinette's mom hands me a single white lily.
"Here for you sweetie, both of you were amazing!"
"Thank you so much! Mari, you did awesome by the way."
The girl huffed with a pout.
"It was hard to be mean to you as a mermaid."
"That's a good thing I think."
"Get together you three. I want a picture!"
Mrs. Dupain-Cheng shooed us against the wall, where we hugged for the picture.
"Adorable, I'll have Marinette send it to you!"
"Oh hey guys thanks for coming!"
I was just about to set my flowers down so I could search for the others when Alya pointed out the people I was looking for. I turned around to see Luka, Juleka, and Rose. The latter held a bouquet of pink roses, most likely from Juleka.
"Thanks for coming guys. I'm glad you could see it before the weather kicks us out."
I felt the buzz of my phone in my pocket just as Nino approached the group, with Adrien trailing behind. I flipped it out to check, it was a text from Trevor. I set my flowers and bag down against the wall.

I looked around wearily at his question.

When I looked back up from my phone Luka was staring at me across our circle of babbling friends. He was holding a bouquet of sunflowers. I locked eyes with him but a tall head of black hair caught my eyes just beyond his shoulders.
My breath caught in my throat and I looked around him to search the crowd. Adrien came to stand next to me.
"Y/n what's wrong?"
I spotted him before he spotted me. Trevor stood a little ways away scanning the room, looking for someone. Looking for me.
He was dressed in a pair of gray sweats, and a navy sweatshirt, with a fanny pack drawn over his shoulder and around his waist. His winter coat lay stylish on his shoulders, and his hair was the perfect mess it always was. In his left hand was a bouquet of lilies and lilacs, my favorite flowers.
I was sidestepping away from my friends without even thinking, already quickening my pace to get to him. Once I was almost in front of him he finally noticed me, and the look on his face said it all, he sheepishly spoke.
"I know you said you wish I was here and I really wanted to see you-"
I was in his arms before he could finish his sentence but he recovered quickly. Wrapped up against his chest and fitting like a missing puzzle piece. I could physically feel the breath he was holding back leaving him as he rested his chin on the top of my head.
"God I missed you so much."
His voice was low and spoken into my hair but I didn't struggle to hear him. It was as if we had paused time for the moment, nothing could break our orbit. I took a deep breath of his cologne.
"I missed you too."
We pulled away and just dumbly smiled at one another.
"I can't believe you're here."
"Me either. I hope it isn't a bad time."
He was unusually vulnerable, which was rare because of how deeply confidence was rooted in his personality. But I could chalk it up to us barely speaking to each other for the last few months.
"No it's perfect-"
"Is this the guy?"
Rose peeked her head around me to look at Trevor quizzically. I beamed with pride, nodding my head.
"Guys this is Trevor. Trev this is Alya, Nino, Adrien, Marinette, Rose, and Juleka."
"It's nice to meet you all."
"You speak French?"
Adrien questioned, slightly taken aback. Trevor chuckled.
"Yep, learned it online with y/n."
"It's nice to meet you man, she talks a lot about you."
Luka smiled tightly and reached out to shake his hand. Maybe explaining all of the issues we have to him, and then having said guy show up might not be the best situation.
"Likewise."
Trevor provided his own edge to his tone. As he began to meet everyone Alya and Marinette slid over to stand next to me. The blogger whispered in my left ear.
"He's even cuter in person, he's almost as tall as Luka too."
The two girls giggled at the statement, but I simply rolled my eyes. Trevor finally made it back to me and he held out the flowers for me to take.
"These are for you Sparky. Wish I coulda seen the show."
"Lilies and lilacs, my favorite."
"I know, they're the only ones that smell good to you."
He said it just as I brought them to my nose to smell them, I pulled them away to reveal a grin.
"I guess I'm becoming predictable."
"Nah I just pay attention."
He held my gaze steadfast, and I could feel the tension of the rest of the group watching the two of us interact.
'This would be an interesting night.'
