"You won't, we really want you to come, unless you have plans of course."

The implication was obvious, but I didn't want to explicitly ask. They wanted me there so I would be there. I'll bask in their kindness for as long as they're willing to give it. But it still felt like a throbbing pain in my chest at the thought that they considered me close enough to family to invite me over for Christmas dinner. I could feel my eyes starting to get misty at the thought, I pushed through it to reply.

"I'll be there. Thank you."

Louis put a hand on my shoulder offering me a rarely soft smile.

"With all the money we spent on ramen we figured we would include you in our Christmas dinner."

"You'll get to experience Lou's otherworldly Christmas cookies."

Said male rolled his eyes at the mention of his infamous baked goods.

"I'm looking forward to it."

"You should probably get going before Mrs. Dupain-Cheng leaves."

Micheal gave me one last parting hug before separating, Louis simply ruffled my hair fondly which I couldn't help but lean into. I stepped away with a warm feeling of fondness settled deep into my chest, and an unfaltering grin.

When I finally entered the foyer, it was crowded with actors and crew meeting with their families. Some of the cast were still in costume taking pictures with everyone, I couldn't help but let my smile falter a bit at all of the happy families. The noise of each conversation bounced off the high ceilings and everyone was packed pretty close together. I peeked my head around the outside of the crowd to look for Marinette or anyone else I knew.

The first person I locked onto was unsurprisingly Nathaniel, it's hard not to with his hair color. He stood close to the stairs with Marc tucked close to his side, both looked uncomfortable at the amount of people in the room. Staring on wearily.

I walked over to them waving as I approached them, which quickly ceased when I saw the small bouquet of pink tulip flowers tucked under the artist's arm.

"I can't believe you actually bought flowers. You didn't have to!"

Nathaniel handed them to me with a smirk and then made his voice high-pitched.

"Woah thank you so much Nate for the flowers and for showing up!"

I punched his arm and brought the flowers to my chest. Choosing to move past his disrespect and address his counterpart.

"Thanks for coming Marc, and for putting up with him."

He smiled shyly at me.

"N-No problem. You d-did great."

"Thanks- hey buzzo leave me alone I'm just speaking the truth."

Nathaniel continued on his pursuit to take out the back of my knee, something we did a lot during class when either of us would stand up.

"You guys should head out before the storm picks up any more than it already is."

"Fine, mom."

He pulled Marc's hand into his and started to pull him towards the door. I made childish kissy faces at him, to which he promptly flipped me off. Turning away and weaving through the crowd of people, I gaze fondly at the two as they go.

' Those two are adorable.'

"Y/n sweetie, come over here so I can get a picture of you and the girls."

I looked to my left to see Marinette's mom calling me over. Alya and Marinette were already wedged together against the wall. I beelined towards them, readjusting the flowers in my grip. Mr. Dupain-Cheng claps me on my back once I make it to them.
