I restlessly pace back and forth, trying to think of something other than June. She's been in the hospital for over two hours, and I need to know how she's doing.
Over the past few hours, Anden and I have discussed a lot of things. He told me that dangerous war like this can't go on anymore, and we have to do something about it. I suggested that we form a secret agency that runs missions and such. Anden told me that as soon as June recovered, we would meet and recruit others.
So now, here I am, waiting. Waiting, waiting, waiting. It's sickening.
Another hour passes by, and finally, the doctor emerges out of June's hospital room.
"Hello, Mr. Wing," he smiles.
"I want to see her," I ignore the doctor's niceties.
"June is doing well. We were able to remove the bullet from her shoulder, and she should be ready to go home in an hour."
I shove past him and into June's room. She sits, happily taking in every single detail in the goddy room. She looks tired but content. Her face lights up when she sees me.
"Hey," I sit down on the side of the bed.
"Hey," June seems weak, but happy.
"Did they hurt you?" I run my hand over hers. I notice that June's shoulder is bandaged up, which makes me wonder how much that hurt. Anger rises in me at the thought that they hurt June. My June.
She shakes her head and laughs. "No, Day. They didn't hurt me. I'm feeling quite well, actually."
"Good. The doctor said you should be ready to go home in an hour? We have things to talk about," I wink.
"That sounds good," heat rises in her cheeks.
"We're creating a secret agency. You and I and Anden are supposed to recruit other members after this. Exciting, yeah?" I sigh.
Something lights up in June's gold flecked eyes. "Oooh that sounds fun!"
I laugh. "Let me know when you're ready to come home." I move closer and plant a firm kiss on June's hot lips. She grins.
"Okay."
