When I was a kid
Like thirteen
I thought the world was cruel, I thought It was mean
Oh how I didn't know
That the world was so much worse and it had more to show
If your young, and you picked my book
Take in my words, and have a look
For this world is so much meaner, than it seems
Your life is just beginning so let yourself gleam
I wish someone had told me
At such a young age
To listen to mom and learn to behave
For the path of disobedience
Is way more hard than listening to mom and staying in the yard

So please listen to me, for I have Experience and I have empathy
