"I'm glad it worked out for you guys."
"You and I both."
"Yo, am I the only one that knows nothing about this dude?"
Alix butt in from across the room, tying back her hair into a low bun. Aurore nudged my arm from the other side of me lightly, bobby pin balancing on her lip delicately as she spoke.
"Ya, where's this mystery man from."
I decided I was done trying to touch up anything, resigning myself to the couch at the back of the room.
"Well when we first met he lived in Scranton Pennsylvania, now his family lives in Los Angeles California."
"Do all Americans have friends in other states or are you just weird."
I shot Jean a dirty look at his statement, before retorting vaugley.
"What can I say? I'm a social gal. Now please change the topic, Trev would get a big head if he knew how much I just talked about him."
Alya chuckled while holding her phone up, she pressed record and began to speak into it.
"This is the last video I'll be making before we perform. It was a fun journey creating this play with all my friends. Thank you for tuning in Ladyblog! Everyone says one last 'break a leg'!"
"Break a leg!"
We all yelled, some other cast members jumping in the back of the video. I smiled at the antics, Alya had been recording clips during the whole process of creating the play. Little milestones, funny moments, things like that. She wants to put them all together into a mini-documentary to put on her blog as an apology for not posting Ladybug content as much recently.
"Let's interview the leading man himself, how are you feeling about opening night?"
"I'm confident it's going to be amazing, I have a great cast and crew."
He glanced at me briefly, and I couldn't help the little grin from breaking out over my face.
Eventually, the fun dissipated into a wave of nerves among all of us. We all shuffled about the room in silence until Louis burst into the room to yell at everyone to get to their places within the next few minutes. This sent the whole room into motion and pretty soon I was hustling to get to the side of the stage where I would enter.
Peeking out from behind the curtain, was exhilaratingly nerve-racking. The theater was surprisingly packed people's families and friends decided to show up tonight because of the storm that would plague the weekend. They were letting people in with tickets for Saturday and Sunday, even though it was Friday.
"Woah, that's a full house."
Adrien leaned over me slightly to peek out as well.
"I wish my father could've made it for once."
"At least Ms. Sancoeur and Gorilla are here."
I spotted them seated in the right corner of the front row, Gorilla gruff build spilling into the aisle.
"Your right I guess-"
"Y/n!"
I turned away from the packed seats, to be met with Nino running up to me looking stressed. Clipboard in hand and headset strapped to his head.
"Here's your bow, Alya said you forgot it."
Before I could thank him he was shoving the light blue bow into my hands and running off to work. Adrien chuckled.
"Nino stays hustling."
"You can say that again, thank god for him and Alya I'd be a mess without them."
