Chapter One: Free Fall

Kai walked around and studied the markings on the necks of the scientists. One of the scientists had a voice recorder. Kai presses the play button and looks around.

"Day 317, 2021 the test experiment known as N403 is in a bad state we have him locked up and will do trials "

Kai played next log

"Day 321, 2021. N403 is in a weird state he...he keeps on talking about weird stuff like alpha and omega, must just be side effects of his brain shutting down"

"Day 330, 2021. N403 has been quiet and went back to normal he seems to have the normal functions of a human again. We didn't use anything."

"Day 340, 2021. N403. Use enigma-17...he's...omg. Oh my god evacuate he is biting his neck. Oh my god...."

Kai played the track back but only the last bit. Kai heard a screeching in the background. Kai got the voice recorder and put it in his pocket and was about to leave. The elevator door opened and five army guys quickly raised there weapons at Kai.

"Stand down men. Stand down!" Yelled the captain as he was waving his hands. The soldiers put the guns down and nodded and walked into the lab. "Are you all good Kai?"

"Yes I am fine"

"Not bitten"

"No"

"Well. I wanna make sure we haven't cleared out anything"

"What do you mean"

"Well on the way here we cleaned out five subjects"

"What five subjects?"

"The five infected"

"There is only two infected here?"

"My apologies. Rats my of been eating your steroids"

"Rats?"

"Look. You just have a shower and get cleaned up and go home it's like 7am"

"I'm fine"

"You look like complete shit"

"I haven't slept properly since the break out"

"No one is blaming you for that"

Kai nodded and walked off to the elevator.

"Yo Kai" Said the Captain.

"Yeah?"

"Can't promise your teams safety.

Can promise you won't join them"

"That's The Thing with probable cause it's only a probability that I killed them"

"Have a good day Kai"

Kai got in the elevator and listened back to the recording. And heard a screeching on audiotape and took it to his office.

Kai saw the man Dr. Sarn.

"Hello?" Asked Kai

"Have you reconsidered"

"So what do I do?"

Kai walked into his office and looked to the window over looking the city of Melbourne.

"I would consider bombing the building. The disease always seems to multiply here"

"So you're saying I am the host!"

Kai looked at the man with anger.

"Kai, I am not insinuating anything"

"Who the hell are you. Coming in here accusing me of breeding these bastards!"
