She made a face "You let Detective Reed go but you won't even let me go!"
"You're my daughter!" He yelled back

The two parted ways later that night... Chloe went home and Connor went back to the police station. He stood alone in his holding chamber as his eyes fluttered, as they opened he began to walk around. He was back into his garden, he saw Amanda sitting in a boat waiting for him-
Connor walked over and was greeted

"Hello, Connor!" She always spoke with a smile '' I thought you might enjoy a little cruise"

Connor automatically smiled back and climbed into the small boat. He picked up the ores and began to row

"I love this place" She looked around "It's so calm"

They moved through a small stream

"Tell me, what have you discovered" She looked at Connor

"My relationship with Lieutenant Anderson is... problematic," He thought for a moment. He didn't want to tell Amanda what he learned through Chloe "He struggles with psychological issues...I suspect it clouds his judgment--" Connor was cut off

"Nothing matters more than your investigation. What's happening is too important" She told Connor in a firm tone 'Don't let Anderson or his daughter get in your way"

They two went silent

"You seem lost Connor" Amanda broke the silence

"I'm just frustrated with my lack of progress" Connor looked up at Amanda "but I will finish my mission"

"You had your gun trained on those deviants at the Eden Club" Her face fell to anger "Why didn't you shoot" She questioned him

Connor thought for a moment "We need the deviants intact for analysis" He continued to row

Amanda didn't respond

"Shooting them wouldn't have taught us anything," He told her

"If your investigation doesn't advance soon" Amanda looked sad "I may have to replace you, Connor"

Connor locked eyes with her "I know I will succeed"

A noise rumbled through the garden, they both looked up "Something has happened Connor" She whispered "Something serious"

His eyes quickly fluttered back open, the police department was full of officers. He spotted Chloe, who was talking to Hank, he stepped out of his chamber and walked over to the two

"You don't need to come!" Hank replied loudly

"Lieutenant, everyone else on the force has already responded" Chloe was boiling with anger

"This case doesn't affect you!" He flared his arms around

"Yes, it does!" Chloe yelled back at her Dad "This is an investigation and I'm one of the best Detectives on this force!"

Hank laughed "Oh yeah! The best!" He mocked her

She made a face "You let Detective Reed go but you won't even let me go!"

"You're my daughter!" He yelled back

"You said that didn't matter while we had the badge on" Chloe's face was a bright red

Hank didn't reply

"Forget it" She walked away from her Dad and didn't even notice Connor

He slowly walked up to Hank
